This is the book cover of my independently published novel THE BAND OF GYPSIES (Blue Owl Edition, pub date 2000), a picarasque love story about university students caught in the violent conflict between the Basque separatists and the Spanish government in Bilbao, Spain. This is actually the prequel to my unpublished work, Iberian Nights. I painted a picture of gypsies dancing around a fire with a bull in the background and thought it would make a good book cover.
