Yes, this hat is super duper warm. One of these days, I will make one that I get to keep for myself! I've sold or given away every single one of them so far!

My version of the Jayne Cobb hat from the Firefly episode, "The Message." These hats sell like crazy in Arizona, of all places Close-up on one of the miniature Jayne Cobb hats. Interestingly, this also fits a Beanie Baby thing that we own--a little bat. Miniature versions of the Jayne Cobb-style hat, sized to fit on a pair of buns (in your hair). A stellar cast, an amazing idea. This show stole my heart within minutes! Curse you Joss Whedon!
