My mother always had these growing in her garden when I was growing up. I always hated them but looking at the different varieties there are out there some of them are quite beautiful. What I can remember of her's was they were pointy and green. I don't remember the shades of purple and pinks being part of them. I also remember them having the strangest name. Do you know why they are called chicks and hens?
