The Brick Pit Barbecue, deemed Alabama's best, in Mobile. What it lacks in decor, it more than makes up for in quality and taste of the food. Talk about slow cooking...the chicken is smoked and grilled for six hours, the ribs for twelve, and the pulled pork for thirty hours.

Most of the good barbeque places in the south look like this! :-) It's the gussied up ones you shouldn't trsut.
