This was the one I went searching for. I see so much beauty in this dead tree. This is what makes the whole picture come alive, it's exciting not eerie! Great shot David. Thanks
Fantastic shot David. wonderful eery feel to it. This would be an excellent reference photo for an artist such as myself! I bet it would be lovely matted and framed!
Beautiful! If I look at it sideways, it reminds me so much of driftwood on the beach... so weathered and smooth. So much up here IS contrast... this is just the finest example I've seen in long while... your talent is apparent!
Erosion and evolution, with slow deterioration can be so ominous ! eeerie, maybe--it looks like it was submerged in water for quite awhile and slowly as the water receded, left this to bleach in the sun and wind? really cool driftwood, I collect this stuff when I find the most unusual pieces . . . yours is very unusual but common in nature
I've noticed this photo as your icon, David. I'm glad you've published it here. I like that ~ even tho the skeleton is all that remains ~ the beauty of nature remains. (And, Joe, you would do a great honor to this humble skeleton in a watercolor! Do it, please. Then share it with the rest of us.)
I love the layers in this photograph - as if, standing there in the quiet space, I would feel empowered to make it also to the quiet peak of the mountain.
