My dad lives north of you in Santa Rosa.
Used to live in Sonoma, your dad's neck of the woods.

Hey, Lisa, looking forward to it.
You are a classical enigma, John!
A classical enigma — I've been called worse.

Thanks, it's the Yacht Club at Sausalito where a whole bunch of wombats will be getting together in July.
Actually, someone checked it out and, not kidding, the correct term is a wisdom of wombats.
I am forwarding your comment to my mother.

My..space,,bar..is..not..working:)
Down the coast to your right, a group of drop outs was bulding a boat (lots of years ago) to take them to an island commune. Did it ever sail? I always thought it would be a real gas but I would be one of the few who worked while the rest just ran around naked. Sort of like where we're going now.
Rest easy
One guy lived on a boat/platform he just anchored in the little Bay here and started converting the boat part into a replica of an 18th century ship captain's cabin. On the platform he added dirt and planted a tall palm tree.
Of course, even Sausalito has an establishment and after years of court wrangling they forced him to leave.
He towed his "island" over to San Francisco, tied it to the end of one of the big piers. The captain's cabin is finished and now and is one of the nicest restaurants in town.
Go figure.
The commune promoters were selling berths on their venture at a coffee shop up on your hill. Lots of wooden stairs. View out the back. Great coffee and bagels! Well before Starbucks. We need to go back there. Dim Sum at a place in Chinatown!! Last time was 9/11. Very memorable.
Isn't parking a bitch up on that hill?
Rest easy
Parking is really no problem in Sausalito — if you know the ins and outs of the system.
I do and I'm willing to sell that information clean lucre.
