Liz, this collage has a strange mystical effect on me even though I put it together.

Each part, Trine, is a large painting made by a local impressionst artist. I feature her work on my page exclusively.

This has a strong spiritual and emotional impact. The colors are indeed quite vividly expressive, as are the shapes and symbolic connections. Collage is such a great medium for getting to that kind of liminally absorbed impact of comprehension.

Hi Libramoon.
I fully agree with you about the strong spiritual and emotional impact.
All the colours and shapes are meant, by the artist, to have meanings and symbolism.
I may take the very central painting and do an evaluation of the artist's intentions.
I do the collages and I'm always amazed by the final overall effect.

Fred, I really love this. It sort of has a Picasso feel to it. I don't mean to offend, but I think I would like it even more if it was more abstract. I've tried photgraphing a colorful canvas with no success. How did you do this, or is it a trade secret?

Hi Bill. I put the canvas up vertical against a wall...on a sunny day but taken indoors. No electric lamps nor any flash.
To make the collage I use that free programm "Picasa".
very interesting and colorful.
Breathtaking. It is so vivid it hurts my eyes to look at it, but I cannot turn away. 10!

You put together this masterpiece from nine
of them, very stunning arangement Fred. The
colors are so vivid and blend well with others.
I felt overwhelmed when I was viewing this as
a whole, all the features seem to be so well
in balance with each piece. I bow in awe to the
person that created these pictures.

It is a very personal vew of the things. The colours fill me with such an exhuberance and I like the formality of your shapes (as oposed of purely abstract colour composition).
