1st place overall and 7th grade. The winning science fair project of my two proteges. They designed, constructed, and operated this homemade ebb and flow hydroponic system from scratch. The title was "Homemade is Bestmade". They wanted to make a hydroponic system at a fraction of the cost of a commercial unit. Theirs was $80 and a comperable commercial system was $350. Im so proud.

you could also organize a moonbuggy team and build an annual moonbuggy for the races in spring--
you have to go to nasa.gov and then look for students or teachers
