A photo of the historical church that we are renovating. The front part was built by congregation members in 1930. An addition added on to the back and a few updates in the 1940's which were finished in 1949. The completion is marked by a time capsule corner stone.

The materials are very interesting that were used in the making of the walls in this church. The photo is wonderful. I love historical buildings. They hold much meaning.

Thank you for your comments Paul. I hope you enjoy being part of the group as much as we enjoy having you as a member! :-)

The front and the lower part of the sides are made from Silverdale Stone which is quarried locally. Previously, the upper part of the exterior walls had slate tiles. When I bought it, it was bare boards and all of the tile was gone xcept a small area. I'm not sure what happened to it but I think the previous owner probably destroyed them. He did a lot of terrible damage here before he left.

I'll write up a bit more and post a few more pics when I have a little extra time.
