This is glorious. It should be on a magazine cover. Aren't I seeing goldware instead of silverware? Ever so lovely!
Barbra, thank you! Yes, it is goldware. Back in the early 80's I had a kitchen and tabletop store in SC and we carried several of the goldware patterns by Towle. I loved this one with the scallop shell.
Cream on cream tablecoth and the napkins are cream with a thin gold thread design. The napkin rings are mini-wreaths with pearl red and green "Christmas tree balls". The chargers are burgundy red, the dinnerplates plain white. The plate under the goblet is a Fitz & Floyd Christmas pattern at least 15 or so years old and the small opalescent plates in which I served the salad are capiz shell plates from the Philippines.
I collect tablewear and have a little of this and a little of that.........
