Is it just me, or do you also think it's strange that the USA chose November 7th for an election?

Leah, I never thought about that before. I had better research that and find out why Nov 7 is election day.
I have so much to learn! Never ending task! Thank goodness for Gather!

It just happened to work out that way this year. National elections are always the first Tuesday in November of even years.

Maybe God knows something we have yet to figure out, and that's why He picked that date for the revolution in 1917. Could be that too, I suppose.

Actually, in their calendar at the time, it was October 24th. That's why it's still referred to as the "Great October Revolution".

what is it about russia that so many admire the culture and history, when you dig underneath the rubble they did just as many evil deeds as other regimes, still you got love their music don't you?
how do yu write together and aren't yu lucky to have gotten Lea, she is great

It is because we choose to look PAST the evils of the communist regime that we are so fascinated with Russian culture.

Should I not be interested in German culture because of what the Nazis did? I don't think so!!! We're certainly not supporters of Joseph Stalin or Adolph Hitler.

It is when people only look at the dictators and evils, that beauty and culture are lost.

Look at women like Gather's very own Svetlana Goryacheva sgoryacheva.gather.com and you will see what I mean about the beauty of Russian culture.
