Allow me to introduce myself. I am Paul Miller, and I wanted to let you know about my new book. A Place to Belong. Many readers have compared it to Tuesdays with Morrie and Angela's Ashes.
Why is he writing to me you ask? Because I am totally lost and bewildered. The book is doing great locally but I can't move it beyond the county borders. I'm asking for any help/suggestions you may offer me.
A Place to Belong is an intense story of a young teenage boy's search for self worth and faith in a cruel world.
We all long for a place to fit in, a place where we feel safe and loved.
Set in the years following World War II, Paul Miller, 8, is forced to leave his Michigan home, embarking on a disjointed, zigzagging trek across the United States.
From scaling buildings in Boston to hopping rooftops in Detroit, Paul stares into the debilitating effects of hatred. Penniless on the side of a California highway, he hits rock bottom. But then, simple words of wisdom empower Paul to find his path toward a place where he can truly belong.
A moving story told with humor and grace, A Place to Belong explores how a childhood littered with abuse; hatred and sorrow can be overcome by determination and love.
You can view A Place to Belong on my website @ www.placetobelong.com. Also, some reader reviews have been posted on www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.
I know you're very busy and I appreciate your time and interest.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Paul Miller
Welcome to Gather! I really enjoyed reading your book Tuesdays with Morrie. It's very inspiring book and I have kept it on a prominent location on my book shelf. I will read your other books.
