If you want to speak proper English, I suggest you start by learning how to spell in English! Colour, favourite, labour, honour, etc. And if you don't want to speak English, I suggest you change this sign to:

WELCOME TO AMERICA
SPEAK AMERICAN

The way it looks now, it might as well say

WELCOME TO GERMANY
SPEAK RUSSIAN!

It's just too bad Reagan didn't back up what he said, or there wouldn't be 12 million or so more illegals now. We must not get fooled again with empty promises.

If you check out Christine's writing you will notice she hasn't mastered writing in English. I would love to hear her speak.
Currently, there are 23 states that have declared English as the official language of their respective states. For other states such as California and Georgia, Official English statutes that are more restrictive, i.e., mandating that all state employees conduct official business solely in English as well as doing away with bilingual state forms, are being considered . Oh Sandy,....you slay me!BTW,....you might want to spell my name correct.OUCH!

Except that Americans who do get out and explore the world too often demand that the countries they visit also speak American. Luckily, being not so ignorant, most do speak multiple languages. The US is the only country I have ever been to that doesn't seem to want to be a part of the world...
