You can order this and other bumper stickers from:
http://bumperstickers.cafeshopper.com/index.php?term=Bush
and I know most won't.
They talk a good game
about supporting the war.
Yet, in the end,
they will wave their flags
but they and their children
remain at home.
Years to come
when they see a bum
holding up a sign saying
he was once a vet,
they will shake their heads
and go to their beds
grumbling that such people
need to get over it.
Thank you!
Why don't you publish that as an article:
"They will wave their flags, but they and their children remain at home".
You're so fast and so Good.
Thanks
I responded to it.
The Northern Sun has the best political bumper stickers I've ever seen. Check out the web site, I can spend hours reading all the witticisms.
Sandy thanks, a good one!
By the way, how do you send an image with your post, as you did?
<img src="URL of image you want displayed">
If you want to limit the image size (I recommend not displaying an image bigger than 400 pixels by 400 pixels) you can specify this by typing "height=XXX width=XXX" inside the html tag, like this:
<img src="URL of image you want displayed" height=300 width=300>
One other thing: Gather's software won't let you display an image without some kind of text in the same post.
I'll try it next time.
Ha!
They only send the poor people to fight for the oil riches!
Thanks luckky.
He's also currently in Iraq and getting fired upon at least once a week, as of late.
No, I still don't understand it -- I just felt the need to point out that despite the majority, there ARE some Bush supporters actually out there willingly risking their lives for his war and this cause. In fact, he's the only Bush supporter I know that I actually consider intelligent.. but the longer I stay on gather, I'm sure I'll run into a few more.. eventually.
It's a very difficult situation when a husband and wife are at the opposite sides of the political range.
Some men who are feeling insecure can be manipulated to feel secure with a deceitful propaganda campaign. I find that Bush supporters are run more by emotions rather than logic. It's an EGO and macho thing!
.. and no, the marriage didn't end over politics -- I just can't stand military guys, lol.
It's interesting that people rather Stay the wrong course, than accept the fact that they are wrong.
In some people, the need to be"right" is stronger than the need to stay alive.
The very first lesson that's drilled into a soldier's mind is to forego rational thinking, and obey orders only. The poor man is trapped in that falsehood, I feel sorry for him.
Thanks.
Spazure, A Robert E. Lee Jr doing a Walker with George Jr in the Iraq bush - no wonder he's a-soon-to-be ex-
Dean a great man. The MSM Right-Wing-Machine ruined his chances of getting elected.
Many of those who support Bush (and plenty who do not) have kids there. Alot more have either served in this war or in the past. Many of those who serve do so for reasons that you would not likely understand; that is unimportant of course as as long as they do serve and protect your right to disagree.
Reducing your dislike for a policy/leader to cute little slogans says alot about your debating skills. The level of this war currently is high but have you all forgotten it has been rumbling and fizzling on for decades? Or is it simplier to end the debate by one liners and name calling?
Thank you vickey w for commenting.
I'm sorry, but unfortunately you two are not aware of the truth on what is really going on in this country.
I think you will be astonished and shocked after you read this article.
A fascinating and revealing article which exposes US's shadow government's plans!
Article: Pulling the 9/11 Lynch Pin
Article Link: http://hiddenmysteries.net/geeklog/article.php?story=20061021102802465
Some highlights:
"9/11 is the lynch pin that will awaken all American citizens to the cancer that has taken over our democratic Republic."
"Kennedy plots a course for his presidency that diverges from the shadow government's plan for protracted war in Viet Nam. Kennedy is erased!"
"The US war machine goes into high gear and billions are made and thousands are killed."
"These elitist scum own every bit of our system of life."
"They own the Justice Department."
"They own the intelligence services."
"They own the educational institutions through dependence on grants."
"They own the churches through manipulation and graft."
"They own the military."
"They print the money, own the banks and hold all the notes."
"They own the political parties."
"They own the police."
"They own the TV programming."
"They own the magazines and the newspapers."
"They started the war in Iraq in order:
to take Iraqi oil out of the market, [to increase the price of the oil at the pump!]
to deploy massive weapons systems,
to provide billions in no bid rebuilding contracts,
to slice the Iraqi state into 3 less significant and easily controlled states, and lastly,
to provide permanent military bases."
"They have been systematically implementing a police state, since well before 9/11, but by leaps and bounds ever since.
Are these [Elitist psychopaths] people capable of pulling off 9/11? "
"There was a drill running the morning of 9/11 that simulated a plane crashing into the WTC!"
" You tell me:
How did these hijackers defeat our entire $500,000,000,000. ($500 billion) air defense system? "
"If these hijackers really did succeed in fooling:
the CIA,
the FBI,
the NSA,
the NORAD,
and the FAA,
then why hasn't ANYONE been fired, demoted, court martialed or held accountable?"
"Join your fellow patriots in exposing this lie, so that we can go about the business of saving our country from enslavement and police state control at the hands of these, elitist psychopaths. "
"We, the people, must take back our country and our destiny!"
"Public Information for Patriots.
This is purely information. It is given to you free of charge and all that is asked in return is that you research the information, fully digest it and then use your conscience to act as you see fit."
Shadow government killed Kennedy over Vietnam? The war he got us into and LBJ his VP expanded? Oh LBJ had him killed to get us deeper into Vietnam, got it.
Amazing how everyone thinks we have such a great ADS in this country. Even during the height of the Cold war, Sov Tu95's reached Vicksburg (from Cuba) on penetration missions. It took the vaunted ADS system hours to realise a Sov prop bomber had flown a good ways up the Mississippi before scarmbling fighters to escort it outside territorial limits. The whole US is at best partially covered by radar and much of that is concentrated on high level stuff, looking for missiles and unrecorded high flyers. The whole 9/11 as a government setup defies human nature, you know about how many people can keep a secret type? Not many and of course you must assume their is a compelling reason to do so....
Anyway as for serving and are thank yous appropos, not neccessary but welcomed. I started serving in the Cold war and most people that knew I was in, knew why. It wasn't for thankyous or good pay(they finally got around to that under Reagan). It was for what I believed in, a form of government staggering on its feet even when I enlisted and no better today, it was because my family survived here for over 250 years largely in peace, it was payback for what America gave me the opportunity to do and be. I hope my son and his family will have some of the same fortune but its largely in hope, not assurance of it.
Too many believe the worst today and far too few will defend what we still have, its easier to rant and find fault then either taking up the sword for our way of life or to build on what our ancestors left us.
As a military man, you see so very obviously that: The 9/11 tragedy happened under the W's watch. Therefore he is responsible for it, period.
There are only 2 possibilities:
Case 1- W and the neocon artists ORCHESTRATED the 9/11 tragedy to kill those people in order to terrorize the nation to accept the current W's dictatorship. And, as we all can obviously see, they did scare the nation completly and they did achieve their goal of creating a dictatorship in US.
The Dictatorship evidence: W is now able to point to any person in the US and say
you are an "enemy combatant",
and that person will be jailed and tortured forever, with absolutely no RIGHTS to defend him or herself!
Currently about 50% of all Americans believe in this case 1 category, and the numbers are growing very rapidly, as more and more startling lies are uncovered everyday!
Or,
Case 2- W's Administration is was and is so totally incompetent that they did completely and miserably fail to protect the nation and the 3,000 people who died in the Towers.
Needless to say, that W and Co caused the greatest catastrophe in the nations history, by ignoring ALL the many Alerts from ALL the Security agencies in the government!
As a military man you can see what a great failure W is. He did not act in any way what so ever to prevent the 9/11 tragedy even though he was given so many clear warnings!
The most obvious and damaging evidence against W and Co. is that of ignoring of the most glaringly HOT and explicitly CLEAR warning from NSA's on August 6, 2001, which said:
" Bin Laden determined to strike in US"
Either way, W and Co. are the cause of the greatest tragedy in the US history, and there is no way to excuse them, period!
I guess it gives you satisfaction to lay blame solely on Bush. Both my military and civil education tell me otherwise. And as for the worst president we've ever had, that list is pretty grim and so far Bush hasn't made it. You drive on tho, judging by your attitude and writings, no amount of reasoning on my or tothers parts will convince you otherwise.....
Listen to the Major Generals plus over 100 other military people who speak out against W:
Some excerpts from a great article published today:
Oct. 25, 2006 | WASHINGTON
By Mark Benjamin
U.S. generals call for Democratic takeover.
Disgusted with the leadership of the Iraq war, two retired generals say the GOP must go. Plus: More than 100 current military personnel join a campaign to get the U.S. out of Iraq -- now.
Two retired senior Army generals, who served in Iraq and previously voted Republican, are now openly endorsing a Democratic takeover of Congress
Maj. Gen. John Batiste and Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, first openly criticized the handling of the war last spring, when they called for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
Batiste said he was tormented by reading daily casualty reports and knowing that the deaths are, in part, the result of a bungled, backward strategy that focuses on lofty but unattainable goals.
And palpable frustration and anger among officers over the Bush administration's Iraq strategy clearly is driving some to do what was previously unthinkable:
switch their allegiance to the Democratic Party, at least for the time being.

I hope you will be guided and helped by what these military people are doing.
219 Members Of US Military Call For "Prompt" Withdrawal From Iraq...
Posted October 25, 2006 12:48 PM
219 members of the US military, at least 98 of them on active duty and others on active reserve, are calling for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
The military members released a statement through the website appealforredress.org:
"As a patriotic American proud to serve the nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to support the prompt withdrawal of all American military forces and bases from Iraq. Staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price. It is time for U.S. troops to come home."
Although members of the military take an oath to follow orders, a lawyer for the group says this Appeal For Redress is legal and can, at least in theory, be used by military members without fear of recourse. More military members are expected to follow the 219 service members who have already submitted.
