I live in Los Angeles, and these Grapevine mountains are about 2 hour drive north from LA. I have enjoyed these gorgeous wild flowers while traveling north on Interstate 5.

You have to time those wildflowers just right. I drove out once with misinformation tht they were blooming, but they had finished. They really are great: purple lupins, orange poppies and I forget what the yellow ones are. Also for about two weeks in Spring, Lake Balboa is surrounded by gorgeous blooming Japanese cherry trees. Again, you have to time them right.

Larry it's a fabulous photo, but as I said under the photo, the source is not known to me. I wish it had taken that picture.
I have seen that wildflower region with my own eyes, it's even more beautiful in reality than the picture. I don't think the photo has been doctored up!
I love this picture and I look at it everyday.

Fred, I too love this photo. Many people have shared this photo with me over the last 3 years via email. I'm sure that's how you got it. I realize you did acknowledge that the photo was from an "unknown source" yet people are still making comments assuming that you took this photo. Perhaps it would be wise to further explain that in bolder print that this was not your photo. Maybe we'd be in luck too and the real photographer/artist would step up and acknowledge his/her work. It's just my opinion that photos and articles not our own are fully acknowledged and right up front in bold print. Thanks for sharing it.
