Beckie, I was marveling at the scenery. On Maui you've got rich black mountains, fields of the greenest green ever and the clear blue ocean all in front of you at the same time. At this point I think we were heading toward one of the "black beaches" created by volcanic ash.

Thanks for all the great remarks! I'll just say that this photo was taken by my husband on our honeymoon almost two years ago to the day. I was trying to get him to take more pictures of the island scenery but, alas, his mind was elsewhere...
