Ha, the funny thing here is that I'm only 5'5"... on a good day! This dog (now full-grown) practically dwarfs me... (jk)! :) Love the other cute dog photos that I'm seeing here on Gather. Y'all're excellent photogs.

Thanks, everyone. Yooper (the dog) has grown up to be a happy girl in SE Michigan. But she's not mine; she's my mom's pet.

My own, personal goal is to someday have a dog so large that I don't have to pay heating bills. :)

Speaking of which, there's a great Douglas Coupland quote that goes something like this: "If cats were times the size they are now, they would be illegal. But if dogs were even ten times their normal size, they would still be our good friends."

So true! I think that he says this somewhere in his book Life After God.

Hi, Josh,

I see you're going through all of Gather and posting this same comment to a number of pet photos. Not sure if that constitutes vandalism or not, but it's unwelcome at best.

If you have strong feelings on PeTA (and I see that you do), then -- IMHO -- you're better off posting them in article format rather than ranting in comments.

For what it's worth, I don't own any pets and take no stand on anything related to PeTA.

Amy, 3 1/2 month old Labrador retriever, adopted from a rescue. She is a purebred and both of her parents and her 4 siblings were at the rescue. Her siblings included 2 yellow labs, a chocolate lab. . . Allie just got a toupee and she had to show it off! LOL! Actually, that is hair that I brushed off of my Pekingese after I gave him a bath. My crazy hubby decided to give Allie a rug for her head f. . . Bogey, wondering what the heck I'm trying to do to him! Goldy, My Princess. Where's my frisbee? Just throw it already!
