Thanks Paul. She's a sweetheart. Recently we've been through the mill with nasal cancer but Molly's been a trooper. She nearly died, but we were able to get 3 rounds of radiation, and it totally cleared up (temporily) her nasal sinuses and she's almost perfectly healthy, except for some bad sneezing bouts. We're just thankful for this wonderful reprieve she's been given.

As a retriever owner myself, I have got to say that I find most people who own them genuinely nice caring people. I would find it hard to trust that someone is a good person if they did not like these dogs. They just want to love everyone and everything.

Ed, this picture of you and your Molly really touches me. I am truly sorry for her passing and your loss - it's so hard, no matter how you prepare yourself. Off topic here, though, if you haven't read it already, I think you would really like Ted Kerasote's book entitled "Merle's Door". I just finished it last week and heartily recommend it. It's much more than just a story about a man and his amazing, intuitive dog; he really explains a lot of the science behind how dogs became what they are today, animal behavior, etc. I'm not sure if I agree with all that he says (still deliberating), but he certainly gives much pause for thought. Hope you read it - really! (in addition to all the other books that I'm sure people are already recommending to you!) Let me know if you do and what you think. I'd love to know your thoughts on it. Sweet photo Edward! I'm very sorry she passed away. This may sound silly or crazy but when we lost a very muched loved cocka poo years ago, I was very upset. She came to me in a dream on night wagging her tail & barking as if to say, it's alright, don't worry, I'm happy. And she ran off around the house. It woke me up it was such a real dream. Now I think of all the joy she brought to us. I hope your memories do the same for you.
