i.e. any popular topic of moral conversation- abortion(for naysayers), case of rape- the death penalty(for naysayers) - Saddam Hussein
I believe this idea also applies to our justice system- we throw people in jail for "crimes" of love because our system says we must, our morals/laws have no leeway and this is wrong.

This article is just pathetic- Ladies and gentlemen! One case, 7 years ago is presented as evidence of homosexuals being racist but the slanted media refuse to cover it because they are liberally biased *or some other line around there*. Except the article leaves out some very important information. A little research about Jesse Dirkhising turns up some important details as to why the case didn't receive national attention. Jesse was presumably gay (hmm, hating themselves now? I don't think so), the death was most likely an accident (asphyxiation) and there was no evidence of rape persay... http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29026
Meanwhile every single day straights kill people. 1 incident vs. every single day... Of course it doesn't get national attention! Just like straights killing people doesn't get attention...

And not to justify murder but if every single day you were told you deserved to die/burn in hell/ etc. wouldn't you eventually snap? I don't condone eithers action but it does shed light on the problem with homophobia. This isn't a hate crime it's a crime of passion.

Finally, although his killers now deny it, Matthew Shepard was killed because he was gay. That was the only reason- Jesse was a horrible tragedy but also most likely a mistake, this lady was a religious fundamentalist who felt like insulting a person for their sexuality...

This story is ridiculously biased and I hope those of you who read it do your own research on its proposed "facts."

:) Yeah, my aunt's cats do that all the time. We had bunny rabbits who just liked to slide around on the floor, although, according to my other aunt they like to munch electrical wires too so they probably could've started a fire- I don't think my sister's hamsters would've been rescuing us though :P

China will probably put on the face of abiding by the sanctions but they are also threatened by N. Korea so there might also be some under the table dealings going on. If N. Korea retaliates like they claimed earlier though anything is possible...

I agree with most of the statements here in some way or another. I guess I just feel that in a consentual situation (which is what seems to be the case a lot of the time, at least on the news coverage) a person is at a low risk to offend again. But yes, I would agree that if a pedophile lived next to a school and raped someone from that school they should definitely be forced out (probably should spend the rest of his life in a mental ward being rehabilitated, our judicial system has changed from one of rehabilitation to punishment and I'm guessing this change is partially responsible for the report yesterday on the spike in robberies/murders, but that's for a different discussion). My concern I guess is with all the consentual relationships you hear about. 2 people love each other and both lives are wrecked forever by the laws that our supposed to protect us. (besides the millions of tax dollars that are wasted on tearing these lives apart)

Wow, typical poem until you get to the end where it truly makes its mark. Thoughtful and emotional. Only one critique. These two lines just don't seem to flow like the rest of the poem"One dive in that familiar pool I knew what I must do." Great poem otherwise. (and of course it's just my opinion anyways, others might feel those lines flow nicely)

I believe it's commonly referred to as the "Cramer Bounce." What broker do you use that allows you to trade for 1/2 a penny per share? That would really remove some of the huge losses commissions can cause. It seems if you could trade that cheaply that this is definitely a idea worth using.

It cuts out competition. Also when Google released its version of video searching they made clips available for sale. They probably want to do this with youTube. Basically they were purchasing a customer base and advertising space. Considering youTube's popularity it's probably not a bad purchase. It is not the sign of another tech boom however. The number once source of revenue is, and has been for awhile now, advertising. Of course if you see video and video clips as a huge source for revenue you could argue this is the beginning of a boom...
