Obama is not anti-semetic, and if you are wondering why he visited Egypt instead of Israel it is because he was trying to address Muslims directly on that trip. Therefore, he should probably address them from a Muslim country not an enemy of Muslim countries, don't you think? He also said in that speech in front of a few thousand Muslims that the bond between the United States and Israel is unbreakable, which is not an easy thing to do but it was an important statement to make.
As far as his pastor is concerned all I can relate to you is this. I had a very kind but very racist Grandfather. However, his children, my mother and her two sisters, do not have a shred of racism in them. I've never been able to exactly figure out why this is true. Perhaps, it is because all three of them grew up, went to college, and experienced the world outside of the small farm they lived on or maybe it was because of my grandmother. Either way, that's how a young, white youth (me) born in Rural Georgia came to cast his first vote for the first Black President of the United States. The point of this is simply that just because you have a relationship to someone who is racist does not mean that you are racist. As well (and this one might be more difficult to accept) there are still a lot of racists that are also good people. After all, my grandfather was mostly successful in his life, and he often gave both his time and his money to his neighbors in need. Therefore, I wouldn't judge whether President Obama's racist merely because one of his associates is racist. Just to silence your doubts a little futher, it seems very likely to me that one of the smartest and most educated men in this country has any racism whatsoever. As there is a direct connection between prejuidice and the degree of education.
