I have said for a long time that we (the good old USA) pined at the loss of the Soviet Union so much that we decided to become "them." I don't think this as the above article so much as with what we call "political correctness." Have you noticed how much our TV indoctrinates us to ideas of political correctnessa? You can't watch a show now, from Boston Legal to Law and Order without having a politically correct agenda propaganda item pounded at us in the form of "entertainment." Remember the Soviet love story where the man falls in love with a plow or a shovel? Well, the only difference now in our country is that we pretend that it is not happening because those who control our views (those philosophical giants known as sports stars and movie moguls and stars) do it more subtely. "We" have become "they." Enjoy your new version of freedom (to chant "four legs good, two legs bad.")

I understand that Hemingway had more than 300 rejections before he got an acceptance for his first book... from the first publisher he queried at the beginning and then went to a second time. Also, Zane Grey's RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE was given back to him when he went personally to see what the publisher thought of it. The publisher said, "I didn't think it was worth the postage to send it back." I've had so many rejections and form letters that I can't count them.

APE 131313: Don't know. Can 't follow what you seem to think is logic. What has the Berlin Airlifts got to do with trying to solve the disadvantaged world's problems with gifts to their leaders? Nothing is accomplished except making a few others rich at the expense of the average American tax payer.

Jerry Kays: You're quite right, of course. Looking back on my own youth and growing up, I realize now how much I accepted as "right" and "true" that was the opinion of people around me that I simply accepted out-of-hand without much question. Later, I began to question and over much time was able to break this "conditioning." I imagine that it was much like that with you. That's why we find so much religious fanaticism in the youth of Islam, I think. They get caught up in the whirl of things, particularly when it seems quite rebellious to the elders and more sensible among them. But they are "sheep" following a leader with a bell around his/her neck. It's such a shame that people can't look at Jesus, for instance, with a neutral eye and come to their own conclusions. The true story is much more amazing and beautiful than painted by the clerics and the people in general. But it takes brains and not just emotions. It takes questioning and answering on one's own. What say you?

Dorothy H.: Actually, this also applies to the so called "developed nations." They (we) mask our primitive "mind set" under a cloak of sophistication but the mind set is basically the same. For instance, in the United States, which is overwhelmingly Christian (and here I mean "Christian" as THEY have remolded it to suit their mind set) which is religious antiquity that God never intended to remain static. Jesus Himself (who Christians picture but don't listen to except as it suits them) stated this very emphatically and castigated those who went before Him for doing the same stupid thing over and over again. But that was Jesus and Who was He? Christians don't pay any attention to Him except to celebrate selected parts of His message and life (and death). So here we are in the 21st Century with most of world fanatically and blindly following God's paradigm delivered two thousand years ago as a one thousand year guidance and the Muslims following His Holiness Muhammad 13 centures after His directives were issued and at least a hundred years after IT'S planned expiration. The result if chaos in the name of a God, THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN AND IGNORED.

APE 131313: Your name seems apt. You apparently haven't been outside this country into those "needy" places. I have... and lived there. Americans seem to think in "goods" and think that everyone thinks like us. How naive. In most of the world, our "values" are alien and unwelcomed, even by those who pretend to like us or envy us. "food, tools, books, clothes, blankets and toys" are only temporary helps and seldom get to the people. The people have to learn how to develop themselves and free themselves from oppressive religious and political paradigms. Otherwise, no help from us will have any effect at al... AT ALL. Got that? No, of course you don't. I've seen American tools being sold to me and others that were given to them BY US; with the clasped hands of friendship still on the boxes. They are not poor and deprived because they are oppressed so much as because their mind set is oppressive and hopeless. And this is, for the most part, because of their religio-political regimes which they riot and kill to maintain and enforce. All you do with "gifts" is make the powerful oppressors more powerful and rich. They people get nothing.

Rose T.: I think you, like all Christians, concentrate on "Jesus" and fail to understand the whole process of religion and the place of Jesus in it. Jesus was not the first "spokesman" for god and not the last. God didn't just talk to Jesus but has historically "talk" to mankind, from the days when man worshipped a mountain or a stone to today where He has spoken again. You are still trapped "under a blanket with Jesus" when He, Himself specifically warned you not to do that but to wait for "Him who will bring all truth." Wake up, sister Rose T.

Semantics? I don't know if our troops have protected our "freedom" but they sure as hell have protected our lives and sent a strong message to those who would attack us. Incidentally, more than 90 % of Americans approved our our attack on Iraq then turned tail and denied that support when it became politically meaningful for them. To hell with all of you. I support our troops and our presidents, both Bush and Obama.

Sheryl L.: Not true. The overwhelming number of people in the country who are practicing Christians and Jews speaks for itself. You may not be one and your immediate friends may not be also. But you are in the minority. People are silent because of the politically correct stigma'you and your friends impose on those who don't believe like you.

On the other hand, don't think that all those who consider homosexuality an abomination, also don't love them as people who need our help and consideration. It is the homosexuality that is an abomination and not the homosexuals. Got it?

As Thomas says, "yesterday's truth is not necessarily todays's." However, the fact that somethings change does not mean that everything should change. Should we discontinue "love thy neighbor" because it is not convenient now to love our neighbor? Please note that what is mentioned in the above to contradict what Dr. Laura says about homosexuality is unreasonably compared to her statement. Lev. does not say (as far as she points to it) that we should kill homosexuals or attack them. It simply says that it is an abomination. Such is still true. Most people in this country also believe this even without citing the Bible. But of course, since this is not really a democracy but an oligarchy of the rich and powerful (and incidentally, those "enlightened" philosophical giants in Hollywood and sports), we should not allow the large majority opinion to rule; should we?

Richare Regener: Actually, physicists state that Quantum Physics is one of the most proven aspects of physics, not the contrary as you say. As to time and space being man made concepts, I agree partially, but it is important in my mind to recall that our brain is a physical construct both chemical and electrical. It operates (as do we) in a specific environment to which it is adapted to operate. Our perspective of reality is skewed by our brain thinking. However, as I see it, we have a "mind" that is not a physical part of whatever we are. Our mind is a dimensionless "something" that is not constricted to time nor other dimensional constrictions. It is what actually does the insightful thinking that you are probably using also. Anyway, that is my opinion at the present time.

Richard Regener: I don't understand your referrence to "no wake up required." Can you explain? As to a "dimensional concept" I think that such is a natural limitation of "brain thinking", particularly in this age of nascent "naive realism" in science. There has been a revolution in science with "radical empiricism" due to Einstein and others began by him, but most science is still stuck in "naive realism". We tend to "brain think" in our dimensional milieu. It is perfectly "rational."

As a result I suggest that what I am proposing opens up vast new fields of endevour in thinking about the universe that goes way beyond the limitations of what we "see" and "study." It would seem to me that your work in exorcism would also be valuable in this projection of the scope of the universe. There is much more to it than we see, as I imagine you are well aware of. We are talking of "multiple universes" among other things. In fact, what I am suggesting is (and this is pretty much verified by some of the most electrifying proven aspects of Quantum Physics) that we are not "an animal erect but an immortal god" (as Berkeley, the English philosoher said). We are much more than a collection of atoms, cells, etc.

I've printed up small booklets with the first chapter of my book, TIGERS IN THE SAND. I put them in doctor's offices, libraries, etc. They are free and have the address for ordering if someone wants to buy the entire book. Tried to get them on airline planes but had no success. It's a good idea but haven't had any success really.

Richard Regener: What you are saying is exactly what I was indicating. When you realize that we are a living being set in specific circumstances of both dimension and time, we naturally perceive reality according to our everyday experience. Therefore, we have developed a sense of rational logic, which is merely a list of observations and observational steps to another part of that reality. The problem is that our rational logic is therefore limited by our perception and place within the four dimension aspect of whatever "is."

My contention is that we also have perception that probes non-rationally beyond the obvious into other dimensions or the "dimensionless" aspect of reality. We call this "insight" or "intuition." It is actually extremely important in our lives although we usually dismiss it as something different and only an "imagined" "something." Not true. We know, for instance, that most mathematicians state that they got their big "break through" in a dream. We also know that Kekula discovered the shape of the benzene molecule (the first such discovery) in a "dream." I personally think that Tesla, the great genius of our times, operated consciously or subconsciously by the same "reach" beyond "reason" (the rational.) In fact, I am talking about a phase or part of the "universe" that is eternal and unbounded (dimensionless). It is what we have intuitively called "heaven" and our "soul" and "God", etc. It (or they) are not "provable" or rationally conceivable because they are outside of the four dimensional aspect of reality that we are entranced with at the moment.

Your experience, as I see it, can be interpreted two ways. First, you did indeed "live" at that time and place in "another life." But second (and this is my view), you never lived before or anywhere else and never will live again in this four dimensional constricted environment. However, you (like all of us) have an aspect about you (actually the fundamental aspect that is the only "reality") which is not constricted to time and space. It is what some call "the soul." It is the only true reality. With the soul (even in this transient life) you can reach intimately beyond time (both forwards and backwards) and become so familiar with a situation or event or series of events in time.

The problem is that when one "returns" or "wakes up" back in this transient environment (four dimensional reality) one is left only with the option of explaining what happened in terms of the "rational" (that is, ordinary experience). That is why we conceive of reincarnation, which is actually only a false concept forced on us by our four dimensional reality in which our brain works and tries to communicate with others also stuck in the four dimensional reality. It is a logical and rational explanation for an experience that is in a non-rational environment. This is what was going on with Edgar Casey and Gen. George Patton.

That is my opinion only, of course. But I leave it for you to consider.
