Thats like saying Iran has never funded Hezbollah.. Iran has been funding/supporting the insurgency in Iraq, Lebanon plain and simple as has Syria. Iran is a known sponsor of terror and leadership starts at the top and rolls downhill to street fighters in Bagdad. No proof is a laughable response.

Iraq *scudville* under Saddam Husseins regime as well as Iran both wanted Israel not to exist in the region. Israel has nuclear weapons. Israel could in the blink of an eye wipe any arab country into non existance if it so chose but it doesn't.. They just want to live in peace in their country... That land even in a biblical sense was never Palestinian property fyi.. Its not about that. Iran wants a nuclear foothold in the region.. Its political practices wont allow it respect in the region. Irans international problems have not been brought on by its citizens but by its goverments leadership. Irans goverment is ignorant. Ignorance breeds hatred.

But the bottom line is this.. We can't allow UNSTABLE countries like North Korea or Iran to possess nuclear weapons. Those goverments are fanatical and impoverished, easily bought out for a price. They have no respect for humanity other then themselves. Why Israel was brought into this discussion as a bargaining chip i haven't a clue.

Regretfully Iranian society has no impact on the decisions of its goverment for they are not like the U.S. a FREE nation.

The puppeteers are the money toting lobbyists and big corporations that are greasing our government leaders pockets to make the puppet do what THEY want to. 99.9% will agree that our government doesn't have our best interest in hand in fact it really makes no different even after this election with democrats taking control of the house and senate for the pure fact they were just as worthless as the republicans in the last term. Ask yourself what do they do for you and your family to make your life better? What we have in office now is alot of career politicans sitting on their laurels recieving fat paychecks playing a soapbox gossip game between each other getting NOTHING done.

Nope i don't qualify for middle class either lol.. But i live good reguardless in a country style on the farm type home. I don't know alot of nurses that start out getting paid $39,000 dollars a year.

Look at today verses 25+ years ago at the difference in how children used to be raised. If your old enough to remember back that far then you will also remember responsibility as a child to ones parent. I was as a child held accountable unlike todays irresponsible parents and youth. Newborn children and young children for that matter do NOT know racism or hate. It's taught to them, shoved in there face to the point that the wrong and right factor says " I no longer approve/like anybody that's not my race. Or that person likes something i don't like so i hate them for it.. Again its learned not heredity by any means.

So you can make things as simple or complex as you choose to when looking for a solution. When we had a disagreement in school it was settled in the church yard with hands and fists. No Guns, knives or lethal weapons. Why are lethal weapons used now ? Because of glorified violence on TV that parents let there children watch endlessly. Its all about accountability and responsibility when it comes down to it. You see it lacking in government, family as well as the workplace. You know the number one thing that lacks in today's day and age? Family structure. Where'd did it go? Creativity used to be in the mind of every child... Where did it go.. PCs, Playstations, Nintendo so on and so forth. Your right some are born sociopaths though that number is few compared to poorly raised kids.

You ever wonder why farming community schools these days in general field better athletic programs then city type? I'm talking the backbone small communities and not elite athletes recruited from all over in BIG city schools. Most farm kids that participate in sports, farming and whatever don't sit behind a TV, computer or game console all their waking hours as they have no time. Most of their time is involved with family activities and chores.

Again ultimately the responsibility for ones siblings is the parents responsibility. My dad used to say, " I brought you into this world, I can just as easy take you out of it".. That said keep myself inline lol.. Bottom line? If parents can't bear the responsibility of having and raising children properly then maybe they shouldn't have them at all. So we look in the mirror and ask the question, " Why are so many kids getting into trouble these days"?.. They are just a product of a failed society that needs to go back in time to the way things used to be living as a family. We can place blame on anything if we don't look at ourselves first.

I like how comparisons about the fence are made to what used to be the Berlin Wall. There is quite a bit of difference between a communist lead country and a democratic lead one ie the old Germany. Its not even a comparision to U.S. Immigration laws being violated. The fence will help but its sad that people can't respect *our* borders or use legitimate means to enter our country.

Like many have said it won't be until employer's of illegal immigrants start doing prison time will we see any major change. It is soon gonna happen as the American people have spoken. America is one great nation made up of many different cultures. What it isn't is a refugee camp. For what it's worth the Republicans are gonna lose power simply because they didn't listen to what the American voter wanted. See ya is what i say to every politician that sold out to big money and coporate interest in low pay exploited labor jobs.

Why would i mention that Senobia T. ? I watched the show not the security procession you brought up.. Lou Dobbs is not liked by all in fact many dislike the brutal honesty he represents. Hell im sure he is a thorn in the ass in almost every serving politican in our nation. Lou Dobbs represents American and the majority American viewpoint. Our president doesn't even do that. You have great writing talent why not put it to good use. The illegal alien argument is really a dead horse. We wouldn't need a fence if Mexico and its citizens respected the sovereign nation the United States is. Isn't it clear to you how illegal immigration negatively impacts the quality of life of legal American citizens yet? Don't lose sight of the difference in arguement beween legal and illegal immigration. There is a HUGE difference you know.

Regretfully these jobs are also the highest paid unskilled labor jobs in our country ie manufacturing. I'm tired of it personally and something needs to be done to prevent job losses. Ford is failing because of piss poor management. Foreign car companies in our country are doing just fine. Why can't American companies learn from the successful side of business instead of always trying to find the cheapest way out. Why not make a superior product verses finding a way to compete. Thats what Toyota and Honda have been doing for years as an example.

Jeff H. To bad at the present Gather.com has such a crappy text editor we can't quote nobody :P There is a plant behind i where i work that manufactures purses. I find that quite awsome in itself just seeing a per say textile/clothing type manufacturing plant in my town let alone the United States. They pay them around 14 bucks and hour and well they do a stout business. So there ARE American's willing to work in that type of business.

You say "Raising the cost of clothing and "Wal-mart stuff takes money out of the hands of American's" I don't buy that in fact i think we are exploited as our country. That's another reason the dollar value isn't near what it should be. Alot of that is because of American companies getting rich on sweat shop labor in foreign countries. Hell people can't afford to buy some of the things they might otherwise buy simply because there well paying job got sent abroad and they ARE working for pay that is lower then she we're making.

When i go to Wal-mart shopping i always check where a product is made trying to find a Made in America tag.. I don't find alot but if i can buy it i most surely do. I'm not the only one that does this either. If i was in charge of Wal-mart i see a huge market in people like me that would pay more for American made goods.

Like my initial thread stated " Why are major extremely successful companies like Honda, and Toyota investing in there business in the U.S. ? They don't build cheap priced vehicles by any means and there sales are ALWAYS good. Exceptional products, made by Americans using exceptional Japanese business policies and methods right here at home.

When i lived in Japan for 4 years the Japanese couldn't get enough of paying outlandish prices for American goods, styles, clothing, old cars.. So yeah American could be highly profitable selling American made clothing and other goods, in other countries where they are willing to pay twice as much as we would for the same item. Its time that we American's STOP giving away what is ours to begin with is the bottom line. Our government, not the people has robbed us blind and sold us out over the past 20 years or so. As a child we bought shoes and clothing from our neighbors stores and they bought food in my grandfathers restaurant. Community was self sufficient on local businesses and factory. People didn't need anything other then each other.

Yeah the good ole days.

Jeff H. No lots of jobs are *not* coming back from Mexico. Tell that to my employer that owns businesses in 140 different countries. Exporting jobs is still alive and flourishing. In fact tarriffs might not be a long term solution but they are for the short term. Something drastic needs to be done to level the playing field of competition. The Third world county sweat shop laborers are not competitive. They make it so our country can't compete at all.

Cris P. Nafta and Cafta are FAILED trade policies and are directly responsible for our horrendous foreign trade deficit. Nafta historically is one of America's biggest trade policy failures.

China realizes that a majority of there GNP is funded by sales to Americans and American companies and that in the blink of an eye the U.S. could say we're not doing business with you anymore. It's really that simple. North Korea is trying to project a non existant threat. They can hit S. Korea but they can't touch American soil with there missiles. We could vaporize the entire N. Korean side in minutes and they also know that. The only reason that China is an ally to N. Korea is its one of a very few communist nations that still exists. Thats the only reason.

The Chinese have great influence on N. Korea. The question is whether or not they will suck it up a little, and tell them to STOP what they are doing or lose the free ride from China.

I would like to make a few points. One arguement is that illegal aliens are a benifit to our society. How is that. The majority of those don't pay taxes if they don't work for legitimate businesses that verify an employee is legal to work in this country. And i'm taking about forged SSN cards that allow them access to employment. Many are day laborers/ migrants that are paid cash with no record of it. A major factor of the Mexican GNP is based on money sent home to Mexico by illegals. This money isn't used to benfit American business at all.

I have no problem with immigrant farm workers or workers in general that have proper documentation. I have no problem with worker, student or temporary visa's in our country.. I have no problem with people wishing to immigrate to our country legally.. I just can't understand WHY the legality factor is simply overlooked. They don't overlook it when i go 10 mph over the speed limit.

Political fanatical lobbyist groups like La Raza " A private, non-profit, and non-partisan organization focused on reducing poverty and discrimination, and improving opportunities, for Hispanic Americans. www.nclr.org/ Gotta laugh at the non-partisan claim" :P.. They are greasing some of our politican's wallets with gifts or promised votes in November...

The way i see it is my welfare benifits now and as i reach retirement will be directly impacted by illegal immigration. So yeah if it impacts my quality of living now then how about then? I'm paying their bills already in one way or another. Our country is in the crappy condition it is because of the " We will let it go this time non accountability mindset. It has to stop sometime agree? Our country needs a great turn around or revolution if you will and this will require our governments leaders to take a firm stand on enforcing all laws.

I will tell you this. The pulse of our country is a sick pulse by the incompetency our our federal government. Americans are so tired to include me of are laws being overlooked or not enforced to begin with. The ultimate hipocrisy of it all is the threat that at any time my company could pull its roots and send my job to Mexico. In fact some of my company's jobs already have been with more on the chopping block.

P.S. Did i say you were cute and secondly I like to read your opinion whether i like it or not :P I have alot of respect for somebody that stand behind what they believe in or holds there ground!

The illegal alien population is already hurting our welfare system. Isn't it funny i could get refused medical attention yet an illegal immigrant is and has been bankrupting hospitals. We can go blow for blow but its pointless when you simply face the fact that illegal aliens broke our immigration laws and that's the bottom line. Have you ever lived abroad like i have where they ENFORCE immigration laws.. They don't have the problems the United States does.

Anyway this drifted off point of your intial topic of taxing our public welfare system if all the parents were deported. First of all what parent in there right mind is gonna leave a child behind regardless of situation thinking that letting Uncle Sam raise them is in their childs best interest. Americans want illegals out and that by majority will be reflected at the polls in November. Regardless 14+ million illegals aren't gonna deported regardless of what anybody wishes and they * the illegal aliens* know it.

Your right its NOT just CNN its all the National news stations. I'm not much of a Rush Limbaugh fan but i like how he refers to the them as ***Drive by media***. My point in all this was is like you said a mountain out of a molehill. At 44 yrs old i've seen news that was mature reporting go to how should i say IRRESPONSIBLE over the years from actual reporting to anything to make a buck. Ah the good old anchor baby system employed by my great country. They can't simply deport 14 million+ illegal aliens over night or their family's regretfully. After all its our failed system and unenforced laws that allowed them to remain in this country to begin with. Whether or not they have *anchor babies* or not isn't really at the height of things.. When they start nailing/closing down businesses or putting them out of business for hiring illegals and illegal alien family members, the illegals will have to find work out of our country. Imagine making your own country prospourous through hard work and dedication to ones country.. Hey thats what America is about but this is our country and not that of Mexican nationals whether or not they are in or out of our country. I'm not against immigration in fact my spouse is a naturalized citizen that got her citizenship by LEGAL means. They knew they were breaking our laws when they jumped our borders to begin with... There lives weren't in danger like those seeking political asylum are. Our government has sit on its laurels for how long now. arthur h. The reason police carry handguns, shotguns, assault rifles is for self defense. In fact most time or alot of the time anyways the law enforcement agencies are undergunned if you want to make it a fire power game. This isn't about anti gun its about doing whats right for society verses what many simply argue just because they can.. Our society is about greed and greed and money influences the pro-gun agenda. Im doubting that plastic used in a microwave oven to reheat food releases carcinogens *smiles* Microwave radiation kills any all living organisms lol... In fact microwaving vegetables destroys 97% of the nutritional content of said veggie's. Your point is valid considering yes they use alot of growth hormones in animals... Non organic ones... But in most area's you can find farmers that raise organic animals and you can buy direct.. Its the chain meat suppliers that don't care much about anything other then the dollar number. There are alot of health problems caused by food.. Heck i think over half the American population is overweight lol.. They've been telling people for years to avoid refined sugars yet i think i read that the average American consumes 162 pounds of sugar a year.. I'm not in that group. Regretfully organic is the way to and its how things were when i was a child . Guess history teaches us but to few listen. Don't mess with mother nature. Right now access to organically grown meats and veggies as well as organic all around is hard to sometimes get your hands on.
