oh yeah and make sure you tell She that my new flower lamp looks really cool...i have it hanging on my wall near my bed...i will have to take a picture at some point, but like i told her a little while ago I was going to bed...and now I really am...got distracted (i wonder who i get that from?)

and now the holiday season just got worse (or it did a few hours ago technically) cus i went home....poor scrooge...and to top it off, you weren't allowed to come in and see the cats...i don't think you've ever met zebra and i'm pretty sure winslow is still terrified of you (but i'll believe you when you say you don't headbutt kitties anymore)...but at least you have your presents and your bed and your treats to get you through the ruff (ha!) time...

yeah...at first i wasn't too sure, but after the first week when the swelling and bruising was just as bad if not worse it became pretty obvious that there was something wrong--more than just a sprain or anything

when i hurt my ankle about three years ago, it took almost a year for me to get to see a specialist--found out that i had damaged the ligaments/tendons in my foot and ankle...even to this day i still have problems with it (swelling and pain mostly)

hopefully jess doesn't have ongoing problems after, but who knows right now

i would have been pretty surprised if it turned out there wasn't a fracture...just seeing her wrist everyday--was so swollen and bruised...plus the cast will give her more support than the brace was and she can't take it off when she plays tetris and stuff, so no moving her wrist...lol

she wanted me to post an update, so i did...and she decided a couple of days ago that she was going to...something to do with the hockey game in barrie i guess....

yeah....gonna take a little getting used to though...she was saying on the phone it was weird not to be able to move her wrist the way she's used to, but if it helps then she'll just have to deal...lol...plus it's only for a month

i was going to say no when she asked me, but i figured killing 4 hours at the hospital would be better than the weeks of guilt-tripping she would have laid out, so i decided to be a nice sister and go...

and if the specialist is able to help or do something, then all the better...she's now trying to get me to go with her to the specialist appointment but there is no way that is happening, since she booked it for 7:30 a.m., so she's gonna have to be a big girl and go by herself

we both had stuff to keep us busy...i got a decent way into a book and had some knitting with me, but didn't get any work on it done (until tonight when i finished the scarf i started last friday) and jess had one of her sudoku books and of course her natural ability to drive me insane she keep her occupied...lol

and 4 hours really wasn't too bad..could have been way worse, but at least she got the specialist appointment out of it so will hopefully be worth it in the long run

yeah would have been nice, but at least she's got the appointment now with the specialist, so hopefully they can figure out what's wrong...definitely wouldn't be surprised if there was a fracture or something that they've missed because of swelling or whatever

yeah, would definitely be nice to know what the hell is actually wrong with it...

and she definitely was not happy with the dr....she was complaining that it was still hurting right where he pressed.

she's made that suggestion too...lol...i know i did a load of laundry while asleep...woke up and a load of my clothes were in the washer and i had apparently run it...lol

guess we'll never know for sure what happened, although i've been joking that maybe one of the cats beats her up in her sleep :)

that sucks about the rain...we finally got some snow here and are under a winter storm watch, but according to weather network we're supposed to get rain and snow

never really occurred to me actually...i don't even know if she's taken any advil or anything for it, cus she was gone all weekend...but if anything and she does need something to sleep, she takes the melatonin that i have sometimes

she didn't get any painkillers...dr. told her to take tylenol or advil for the pain and swelling and she was told that if it's still really painful in a week or so, to go back to the emergency room so we'll see....she's got her brace right now and it does seem to help i think (except of course when it comes to getting a drink or putting a dvd on or something like that, then it's all "i'm injured" and "my wrist hurts"...lol

will just have to see how it is next weekend i guess
