How thoughtless and rude of her! If I were you, I would refuse to ever participate in another school fundraiser again - or maybe I would write a letter to the school and explain how uncalled for this was and how it embarrassed you and your child.

Bless your heart for being so kind! Watch out though - I got my first chicken because she was lost and found safety at my house. Now I have two hens and a rooster and I'm known as the "Chicken Lady". I'm sure you will enjoy all your new animals and will have delicious fresh eggs. You aren't planning on eating this cow, are you? I have never butchered any of our chickens.

It would take an entire lifetime to learn a great deal about wine. This books sounds interesting to read so at least I could sound a little more educated when discussing wines.

I don't live in a brutal climate anymore, but we still get really dry skin when we have our winds. The main thing we do is take oatmeal baths for itchy skin and use vegetable oil on our hands before putting our gloves on. Of course, I always use moisterizer on my face year round.

I was going to say to make cookie mixes in jars, but I guess that didn't go over well.... What about bath salts with essential oils? I'm loving Heather's idea about the heating pads - we are all constantly getting injuries and I bet we would get tons of use out of heating/ice pads.

What a lovebug! We have a bichon mix - they are the most loving and funny dogs -- constantly smiling.

I'm sure I would have done what you did too. I have an elbow that gets strained with every little stress to it, so I wouldn't want to jump off a cliff and risk injuring it either. I just love reading your stories.
