Love him!! I have one that hangs out in my backyard. I have affectionately nicknamed him "Wilbur" and now my whole neighborhood calls him that!! He's our shared pet! *L*

I think that global warming or no global warming that people as a whole should be more responsible for their actions. I think that global warming has caused people to "wake up" a be that way. I fear that this is going to be like a fashion trend, popular now, forgotten about tomorrow.

I agree, no matter what happens to us - the earth will continue with or without us.

Rachael G., I know exactly what you mean.

"since you seem to be unable to read an opinion without attacking the person to which it belongs." I learned this the hard way as well on another post.

That being said, I remember that I pretty much thought for myself when I was around 17 or 18 years old. I did a lot of things that was wrong, but they were my decisions and not my parents. Of course they TOLD and WARNED me not to do these things, but they couldn't hold my hand all my life either. That's just a part of growing up. If I had gotten into serious trouble, there is no doubt in my mind that my parents would have continued to love and offer me their support.

Ahhhh...so sweet how people resort to personally bashing someone when they disagree. I thought I was being polite and just wanted to know what people thought. I guess I learned my lesson not to post to things where I can't just think aloud and not get things directed personally at me. That is how it is in the online world. You can personally do this sort of thing and not have to worry about getting punched in the face. But hey, taking personal shots at someone online seems to be a great a way to persuade me to change my vote. Good job everyone!! Is this how you generally approach anybody who does not agree with you? I didn't know that just stating an opinion would cause such an alarm! I usually thought that the way to persuade someone is to helpfully state the facts and carry on intelligent conversation. But of course, I was told I was willfully ignorant - perhaps this is why this type of conversation didn't take place?? I guess it was just over my poor wee little mind.

I'm not a typical "girl" by the way. For the person who had a good time poking fun at my name I'll just say that is a nickname that my Grandfather gave to me. Thanks for taking that and making it sound pathetic. Very nice of you.

As for the vague picture comment, I guess I should be flattered that I appear young or something?? I guess that is the better way to look at things.

It isn't often I get told I am willfully ignorant, borderline "stupid." I really should try to work on that superman. I must say that you have a way with words. Even those of us with feeble and weak little minds can understand what you meant. Thanks for breaking it down in such simple terms.

Do keep trying to persuade people to vote Obama like this. I think insulting people might really make your case. It is an interesting tactic and one I didn't consider.

Oh and just to throw this in, I've always voted democrat until now, but hey, I might just change and vote Obama now that this new persuasion has taken place. I must say thank you for all of the enlightenment. Thank you, God Bless, and G'night.

To try to be rash about this, I think that Obama has a lot to talk about - and talking he has done, but what are his REAL plans for making all these changes that he is talking about?? HOW is he going to get things done. I don't need to HEAR about change. I need to know HOW! I want to see drilling for our own oil and while we are doing that I want us to be working on alternative fuel. I'm tired of America being so dependent on other countries!! Who better to be onboard than S. Palin?? I don't want to see an increase in taxes! Americans are taxed enough as it is!! As for Iraq, I was totally against going there, but we are now there and it would be foolish to just leave high and dry. Let's get someone in office who can try to make things happen in Iraq and get us the heck out of there while doing what is right for our country. A government healthcare system...folks, that is just scary. We cannot afford to let the government govern our health care. They can hardly "govern" themselves. It will make a wedge between doctor and patient. I work in the home health system and it is bad enough as it is, but goodness, let's try to keep government out of something and make a overall change for the better without going that route. Everyone needs healthcare, but going "government" is not the way to go. As much as people back Obama and think that his healthcare system is going to be amazing, I really think they should really ponder over this matter. I am not a Bush supporter. I never voted for him and I think he's led this country into a situation that is going to make the next presidency a tougher job than it already is. We've got to put someone capable in that office. Change is good...heck, change would be great!!! I just don't think Obama can bring about that kind of change. And well, when it all comes down to it, everyone will stick by their candidate in the end no matter what I say or what someone else says. When people don't see eye-to-eye it just brings about pointless bickering. Does anyone really listen to what anybody else says or thinks?? Does anyone listen to what I think? I'm sure people are reading this and smirking if they disagree and so on. Everyone thinks they are right and everyone else is wrong. Changing someone's mind when it is already made up is really hard to do. It's just human nature.

The only comment I'm going to make on this subject is that Palin's daughter is going through a tough time and I don't think she deserves the scrutiny that she is receiving from the media and public in general. People make mistakes. It is the courageous ones that can own up to them.

It is just funny to me how people keep saying they are sick of hearing about McCain's "war hero" stories and so on and so forth. Wow...how totally unpatriotic is that. Is this the same people who are not supportive of our current troops in Iraq? I think the war stories do not get told ENOUGH!!

Obama has guts...ok, I've yet to see it.

I wasn't so sure about Palin when I first heard she was McCain's pick, but my goodness, she is something else!! I love the changes she's made for her own state and I think her record has spoke for itself. I am definitely voting for McCain. Palin coming onboard is EXACTLY what was needed!!

Not really my "theme song" and I'm not into country music, but Little Texas has a song that reminds me of a former flame of mine. Every line in the song "What Might Have Been" reminds me of him. The last time we spoke to each other he actually mentioned this song to me, so we both thought it sounded like us.
