Thanks SO much Lynn --- I have heard of Ed. I don't believe I've been in contact with John Walter. I'm not as connected on Gather --- and was wondering which groups you'd suggest as well. Your words of insight and encouragement are much coveted!

Dr. Jeff Dave Kim was the perfect poster child for this medical mission. Humble. Insightful. Thorough and completely in tune with being present. I was honored to witness the care he provided the folks that flocked to the free clinic.

I fell in love with these three. They're all orphans in a province called Nha Khoa just outside of Nha Trang. Their joy and laughter still rings and echoes my heartbeats. I miss their hopefulness. It both convicts and strengthens my resolve to make a difference in their lives someday.

This woman and her baby were part of a large group of mountain folks that had made the trek to the free clinic. I glanced out of the pharmacy window and caught a glimpse of her --- and something about the colors and the way her movements fit so perfectly with the moment. I had to capture it.

Thanks! Yes... this is one of my favorites as well. It's ironic how the colors contrast with what the location stands for. The Hanoi Hilton is the prison where John McCain spent some time during the Viet Nam war --- the place where so many different POWs for various wars were held captive.

Thank you! I got these at the farmer's market --- and will have to double-check their name. They are VERY dainty and remind me so much of SAKURA (cherry blossom season in Japan). I'll post their name as soon as I find out.

Yes. Things ALWAYS happen for a reason. I have to agree with Susan Reynolds on SYNCHRONICITY. You never know why that conversation had to have happened at that moment. Thanks for reminding us to NEVER take moments like "these" for granted.

Ha ha ha!!! I just reread what I wrote --- and I see what you're asking.

Actually --- I don't have the HOTS for either guy --- though both are truly wonderful guys and worthy of the nonstop affections/attention those of m'gender provide.

No --- "she" was just an example of what quite a few have done in the past. Wrote this to move forward from not just a single incident, but as a way to shake off unnecessary "pieces of luggage."

Learning to pack MUCH lighter. ;-)
