Well "sin" is such a religiously charged word for me and I don't travel in those circles. So I prefer to ponder what motivates me to stay on my path instead of choosing short-term gratification? Where choices exist that will harm people I cannot go there, which helps. But when the choices harm me only, I still sometimes choose the "wrong" one.

Then again, going a level deeper, who is to say what is "wrong" and "right"? I believe we are all here to learn lessons, so "wrong" may be exactly what's needed for me to learn that lesson...

And perhaps when another does something to harm me, it is an agreement that soul and I made this time around so I could learn forgiveness...

It's all a matter of perspective, indeed.

There is an interesting dichotomy involved in listing 100 things about yourself; freeing openness and scary vulnerability. I tend to choose openness in life but know many who would not. Not better or worse - just a different way of walking through life.

And of course the list is biased in my favor! Which puts a whole new light on the openness part...hmmm...

Heady and thought provoking. I absolutely believe God is everywhere. Too bad all the churches have distorted that to be God is in the church so that the church retains the power. Free yourselves, people - God is inside you.
I submit that religion is 2 parts fear, one part manipulation and one part (sadly) misunderstanding.
Boo Ya! God is everywhere!

Hey Dan - thanks. This is my "queenly" shot! Believe it or not I was using the delayed exposure feature of my camera and jumping up and down each time. Don't I look calm, though? lol

I recently was fortunate enough to see a performance of "Wicked" the musical at the Pantages theatre in Hollywood. They actually announced to people to please turn off your mobile phone and open any candy with noisy wrappers so you would not disturb the performance. Ingenious!

This whole post had my daughter and I laughing out loud, David - thanks!!

I received a 2 year subscription to Sunset magazine, which I loved. And every month it would come with the realtor's name on the address as well as mine, like "A gift from Mary Smith Realty for Wendy S_____" or something like that. I thought it was brilliant because it had a lot of home decorating/improvement ideas, and I would see her name every month.

I don't know, Robiyah...if the point of the water dish is to have water for Daria to drink (along with the other lovely felines) then putting the water dish out of reach so she cannot retaliate seems somehow akin to oiling the brakes of your car if they squeak...sounds good until you think about it.
