I went with my kids and absolutely loved it. They did too and at dinner later we had some interesting things to talk about and I brought up some parallels between it and apartheid.

I think that each bride should have her wedding the way she wants it. I have been to catered weddings and they are great. I've also been to weddings that aren't catered and they are great as well. One great thing about catered weddings is that if everyone gets food poisoning, you don't have to blame relatives :).

I think its funny how many people fault her for being a nag, but don't fault Jon for being lazy and a cheat. These are reality shows, they chose their good guy and bad guy. Women love to hate each other when they are successful (Martha Stewart anyone?).  Jon thinks it is a new adventure because he's already been cheating on her. Sorry, but no matter how much of a nag your spouse is, divorce them before sleeping around. Nice message for the kiddies Jon.

If my kids were in the classroom of  teacher he is cheating with, I would pull them immediately.

Personally, I don't care how bad Kate was to him. He cheated on her. If he had a problem with her he should have filed for divorce before going out cavorting around. Jon always seemed lazy to me. If my husband were like Jon, I might be a little on the witchy side too.

And, honestly, the fact he was going out with a teacher is just disgusting. If my kid was in her class I'd pull them. I hope they don't make a star out of her too. I'm sure her parents are proud their daughter snagged the married father of 8 children.

We almost hit a racoon the other day. I've never seen those things run across a road so fast. I'm not sure what the thing was running from.

I agree on the two Americas - but sometimes I think there are more than that. Look around - ever notice how no one likes to quote the reasonable parties on either side. Instead they go for the fringe elements (this is in no way a reflection of the author).

I believe in school choice and I am pro life. Mooch's point about the 9 year old with twins is interesting. I think making her carry a baby that would kill her would be a cause for abortion. It would be a difficult decision between three lives. Most people who believe abortion should be illegal, also believe that it should be legal in cases where the mother would be killed by carrying the child.

I am usually libertarian but have voted democrat and republican. I do not care if gays marry - and I don't think they should force others to accept them. I don't believe the government should be involved in the issue at all.

I believe in carrying guns and do not believe gun control should be a function of government except in extreme cases.

I don't live in Texas or Oklahoma. I live in Ohio. In Ohio, I think we have both Americas living in close quarters.

Hey, that isn't the recipe you gave me.

I changed the one you gave me and omitted the mushroom soup and put in nacho cheese soup. The slices of American Cheese aren't on my recipe. I didn't know you could freeze this either. I might do that. Do you thaw it then before cooking it? I'm looking for stuff I can put in the freezer and pull down for fast meals on days when I'm working all day and don't feel like doing heavy cooking.

The whole hate crime generalization is stupid. If we punished crimes the way they deserved to be punished their wouldn't be an issue. Raping a woman because she is a lesbian causes just as much harm as raping a woman because you want to rape her. She still gets raped because of who she is - either way.

It's funny - the tea party I was at was against big government spending and many were blaming both parties. Having not voted for Bush or Obama I thought the parties were great ideas. You have to admit though that screaming about Bush would be pretty useless since he is no longer in office.

We had a wonderful time and I took my children so they could experience peaceful protest. I felt that was every bit as important as the message that was being sent.

It was fun Ina. My goal was to teach my children about peaceful protest - about having your say and going home. I'm tired of hearing about protests where protesters destroy buildings and hurt innocent bystanders. I have been in other protests - all nonviolent. My children were told at the first sign of violence, we leave. We went to the one in Mansfield.

This is true. As a deaf person I have lived a lot of discrimination.

However, the more educated you are the less likely you are to run into this problem.

I often think back to the days when I worked in a pottery full of people whose highest education levels were graduating high school. I had an associates degree. However, I was pretty much deaf. Those women treated me like I was stupid and wouldn't even let use the postage machine without acting like I was going to break it.

Fast forward- I went back to college and had high enough grades for a fellowship during my first year of grad school. I make 3x (at least) what I made in that place. Most of the people I work with treat me well because they know I'm educated and know what I'm doing.

If you are disabled it pays to be educated - in more ways than one.
