Wow, just one food as a favorite? There are so many to choose from because I love them all. I think my favorite would have to be the candied yams. They are the perfect side dish to compliment the turkey, and yet sweet enough to even be dessert.

I have just started gardening with earnest this year. I have many trees on my property and I rake them up to use as mulch and/or compost. I am wanting raised beds for next year, so I will compost my leaves this year in my composter. I will have some really nice compost to add to my beds in the spring.

I love chicken soup. My problem is I can never get it to turn out right, so I gave up. Hospital food tastes better than my soup! LOL And I can cook and bake.

I agree. Christmas is way over done with all these expensive items. I prefer the handmade items I get as they mean the person giving it to me thought more of me. I also make homemade gifts, gifts-in-a-jar, gifts-in-a-mug, a small sewing project such as a blanket, a scrapbook, an electronic photo frame filled with photos of grandkids, etc.

If the book is in "like new" condition and you don't tell anyone it is used, then who is really going to know? I think that most people right now are hurting as far as finances go and that Christmas is going to be more like the "good ol' days" for a lot of families. I know we just got a new outlet store here in my town and one in Hickory, and they have tons of great deals. Needless to say, I will be doing what little shopping I plan on doing this year at those two stores!

The vaccine in short supply isn't the only problem..... so is the tamiflu by Michelle K.

Doctors have been prescribing Tamiflu to entire families rather than just those with the flu, hence the reason pharmacies are running out so quick. Just another case of jumping the gun!

Sally Hanson is a great brand. I love their polishes. I have good strong nails, so I don't know much about the strengtheners, etc.

Soccer is not the only sport that patents do this at. I see it at football games, baseball, etc. It is so dumb to for parents to act that way.

I always say Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. If people don't like my religion, then that is their problem. I do not force it on others, but I grew saying it that way and will continue until the day I die!

I also love making homemade gifts. I have done scrapbooks for my mom and mother-in-law, gifts in a jar for everyone, personalized electronic photo frames, etc. I even made Yo-Yo quilts for each of my daughters, stuffed animals for the grandkids, etc. Fleece blankets are a hit as well.
