It IS true, though- that NY district 23 elected the Democrat, not the Conservative/Independent. The "Republican" dropped out, but still got 6% of the vote.

Head injuries like these CAN cause fever if there is a concussion involving internal bleeding. My advice is to take her BACK to the ER & ask them to observe her overnight. That way, they will be able to intervene if there is something wrong. It's better to have to pay extra to find out nothing's wrong than to risk her having a seizure & injuring herself further (perhaps even DYING!).

Be especially alert to signs like unequal pupils- which may or may not be reactive to light, headaches, dizziness, confusion, or any sort of fluid draining from her ears, nose, or mouth (other than normal mucus). This sort of fluid (especially if it is pink in color) can indicate critically urgent head trauma.

I would say no.

Although we have just purchased our first home, if everything continues as planned, we'll be continuing to pay off the car loan & credit card debt from poor desicions past over the next two years on a "snowflake/snowball" plan.

The next problem is that we have no real safety net. We are exploring options, investments, commodities, metals, etc., but don't really have enough cash to break into any of those scenes. We also only have a small emergency fund to work with.

Neither one of us has any pension coming in our future, but he has an extremely small 401K left to work with (thanks to the AIG situation). I have never had an opportunity to have a 401K at any of my jobs, and I cannot currently afford to further my education. I've never been to college. He has a bachelor's degree, but it is in a field that he has never worked in, and is no longer qualified for/up-to-date with.

I would like to note to those who are looking to try this product because they are pregnant that Crystal Light contains aspartame (at least the old formulation did- not sure if that's changed).

ASPARTAME IS NOT SAFE TO USE DURING PREGNANCY!

Aspartame contains phenylalanine, which is not healthy for small children because it is a "neurotoxin," or "excitotoxin," which is related to both dopamine, noradrenaline & adrenaline, and can increase both maternal & fetal heart rates and can cause irreversable brain damage and death to the fetus.

Aspartame also breaks down in the blood stream into aspartic acid & Methanol (wood alcohol), which are both dangerous to the unborn child.

I'd like to make the switch because I drink too many sugary drinks, and HATE the taste (or, rather, the lack of taste) of water.  I often wait until I'm absolutely parched to drink if there's nothing around but water, and even then I can only get myself to swallow a mouthful or two before I start to gag from the lack of flavor.  By mid-afternoon I become dehydrated, and race to find ANYTHING with moisture in it, just so I don't have to drink any water.

Perhaps this product will help to keep me more hydrated- especially in these hot summer months.

Clean, cut up, and boil one 5 lb. bag full of Red Bliss potatoes.  Also hard-boil six Jumbo eggs. Drain & cool both overnight in refridgerator.

Remove shells from eggs and chop.  Mix with potatoes.  Add 1/2 a jar of mayonaise, 1 heaping teaspoon full of yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon full of dill pickle juice, 1/8 cup of dry dill weed (or 1/4 fresh dill),  2 pouches of real Hormel bacon bits,  and salt & pepper to taste.

I found it odd, because all of the other times they've offered free cards they've gotten there on time.

BTW- Coca Cola syrup is under $3 at the pharmacy, but if you want to use an actual BOTTLE/CAN of Coke, you need to use the REGULAR kind (not diet).

 

It also helps if you pour it from one cup into another to flatten it a bit.  Carbonation is not always good for an upset stomach.

Update:  Obama's comments to the Ayatollah.

Because I feel that it is relevant to this thread as well, I am going to repeat a comment I made on another article (it'll probably be removed from the other article anyway, as the writer is an intolerant radical leftist):

"Obama's stance on this matter is hypocritical, but only in the sense that Obama himself is doing the exact same thing that you [the writer of the other article] criticize the Ayatollah for- defying the will of the people of his nation.

Over & over again we have asked this administration to STOP SPENDING MONEY WE DON'T HAVE & to STOP PRINTING MONEY WITH NOTHING BEHIND IT.  He has ignored our requests for BOTH.

Also, I disagree that a single payer healthcare/insurance system is what's best for us as a nation.  All it will do for us is allow the government to dictate what tests & innoculations we need to have and when.  I hardly consider that anyone's business but our own as individuals.

We are handing away our freedom with a gift bow tied around it.  Unfortunately, the ones we've chosen to give it to only intend to continue intruding/meddling until we have no privacy or individuality left.  We will all be a bunch of miserable clones in a world without even the bittersweet pleasures of 'bad coffee and stale cigarettes.'"
