It's true that in this day and age of DVRs, it really isn't as important when it runs as it was in the past since many people can record it to watch the next day if they want to. I simply like having the choice of 5 more shows to watch in a week.

I am terrible when it comes to putting together a look, so maybe having it all customized together would help.

I will say though, that considering how simple and delicious the base ingredients were, the dishes themselves were incredibly complex some with 20 components or more.

Cable has really come into its own lately. For the past few years, almost half of the big Emmy nominations went to shows that weren't on the major networks. It's a whole new world.

Funny you should say that - I was thinking that when I was reading all the parts to the prize. The house is worth a fortune - so any average person would probably have to sell it in order to come out on top!

It's funny, something about where my desk is, I swear - I feel every little tremor. What was missing from this one was the traditional rumble of a quake so I knew it was far away.

I forgot about it at first - can't seem to remember my weekends from my weekdays with all the holiday prep - then caught it a few minutes in. NBC has most of the sketches online so you can watch them all.

There's something about them that's really fresh. You feel like you're watching a band on stage.

Check NBC's website. They stream a lot of shows. I know they have most of the performances individiually and really, that's all you need.

I was one of those kids who rushed home from school every day to watch this show. The year the first movie came out I had pictures from teen magazines all over my walls but after seeing the movie, I was so freaked, I made my mom pull them down before I could enter my room.

I believe there was some debate about whether or not Michael's kids would be involved. The documentary was actually in production prior to his death but I understand they'll be tossing much of that footage to focus in on the aftermath.

What I hope will come of this is that people will see that there's a family here, beyond (or inspite of) Joe and Michael. The brothers are very talented and I'm sure there were times where they found it difficult living in the shadow of a mega-star little brother.

Alien Nation is one of my favorite Scifi shows. It's a very smart series, and I think that's why it didn't appeal to as wide an audience as it needed. The show uses the alien plotline to show how ridiculous prejudice and intolerance look from the outside. As outthere as it is, it's also very believable - I can just imagine bored workers naming all those aliens silly names as a joke, so similar to how many of our family names were butchered at Ellis Island.

The show has a few really poignant and frightening moments, one that really sticks with me is when George's neighbor comes over to Susan and asks if she could please keep her (alien) child inside because she's trying to sell the house and it some buyers wouldn't approve of having her kind in the neighborhood. Such a simple thing and yet so hurtful.

It's a great show and I'd recommend people check it out on DVD.

I find parades uplifting to the point where I often cry! I think it's seeing so many people working together to spread joy - it's lovely

I love Hollywood. I moved to LA to be near there because I'm crazy about making movies and TV shows. What's funny is seeing others who visit for the first time. It's not the glamourous place they make it sound like. It's better now that Hollywood and Highland is there and the Kodak and the premieres at Grauman's but go a block away and it's a little scary.

This year, we're having dinner at my brother-in-laws home. He got married last year so they're having us all over.

For me, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is a must - I love those Broadway numbers and it's the real start of the holiday season
