First of all, you assume we were always in dire financial straights. There was (obviously) a time when we could afford the laptop.

The reason we don't have health insurance is that it is outrageously expensive to get any sort of coverage that would benefit us.

When you look at plans that have high deductibles before they even start to cover anything, and a huge monthly fee for coverage - it's frequently not cost effective at all.

Unlike the laptop, there has never been a time where we could afford health insurance that would actually provide benefits worth the cost.

If you have health insurance, lucky you that you haven't had to be in that sort of position - but we're certainly not the only people in it.

Aw, I've done that too.

It's nice to carry on a family tradition though.

Wii is the best system, isn't it? I love ours! It's nice to have something the whole family can play together.

My mission is to have something that I've created live on after I die. I really want to have something survive myself. That's the only immortality humans can achieve - and I want to have made an impact on the world, if only in a small way. I am hoping that one of my stories will catch on, and be popular enough to continue in publication after I'm gone.

Ps: Would really LOVE this book - I requested it when they first announced these, but didn't hear back ={

Man, our proposals were worded in so much political speak that my mom, Aus, and I all sat down one night and tried to figure them out in plain english so we'd know which way to vote on them. They really need to word them better!

I'd like to know whether August's instability stems from a mental disorder - and whether or not you planned for there to be any sympathetic aspects to his character because of this despite his apparent cruelty.
