Good for you! We used our $10 Kohls and Pennys yesterday too. I didn't do as well as you did, but it still really helped.

I really want to see this movie, although I will probably wait and rent it. I really don't like our theaters here. They remodeled an put too many theaters in the same space, so they are small and cold. It does look really good. I love your toad.

Thanks Heather...the nice thing is that there is a lifeboat and the bonds created on Gather seem to be holding together in a few other places.

I didn't mind. I was older, had 2 kids and a job. I just wanted to finish something I'd started many years before. It worked out well for me. I had my real college experience in the 70's...dorm, parties etc.

Never. Isn't that awful. I did much of my last couple years online as I was older and lived away. I never really had a bond at all with the school I actually graduated from.

Not today...BUT....Sunday I threw my back out (shaving my legs) it was better Monday, but then I did it again Monday afternoon (doing something equally as stupid) and then yesterday morning, I slipped on my bathroom tile floor, fell on my hip and hit my head on the edge of the door. I scared myself to death. Today I've been very careful.

Well, that makes me feel good. Some of those blogger women must have unlimited budgets and interior decorating degrees. I always feel like deleting mine after I see some of the others! It really is amazing what you can come up with if you just "shop" around your house. You asked how many boxes of Christmas I have? Would lots be a good answer? Way too many? You have to remember that I've been married a long time...so I've had years to collect!

I'm so sorry. While I never went through that...it took us years and years to have children and that is also one of those pains that no one can really understand unless they have been there. I always felt blessed that I couldn't get pregnant, rather than to go through what you did. Luckily we both ended up with 2 children...miracle babies for both of us.

I thought the crazies were all on Gather:) I can't imagine why anyone would want those kind (well any kind) of bumper sticker on their car. We are bumper sticker free here. But, I would never mess with someone's stuff...good way to go to jail!

I noticed turkeys were on sale here, but I'm not buying one. I will admit that I watch gas prices closely...but, I'm not that observant on groceries. With just the 2 of us, we have our pattern of things we buy and I look for sales, but buy the item anyway if it isn't on sale. I should be more like you.

I always have a general idea in my head what I'll spend. If I'm lucky, I find the things I want on sale. We buy several gift cards these days for our parents. They are in their 80's and love to go out to eat etc. and really just don't want more "things" to sit around. So, no sales on those. I buy very little for myself this time of year. I just can't get into it...I'd rather buy stuff for other people. I actually love trying to find that special something for someone.
