I have an 8 year old boy, 5 year old girl and 3 year old girl and it is one of the only shows they ALL agree on!

I secretly enjoy watching it, at first I would draw the drapes and keep the sound down low but I've liberated myself from that! Spongebob is so funny it's worth it!

I see it's been mentioned but I LOVE the schoolhouse rock series.  I can stand to listen to it and it stays in their heads!! 5, 10, 15, 20 is our favorite!

glad I'm not alone with my dislike for "Dave". Generally it's a good show but the thing with the guy in the basement and this Dave thing were really pushing my patience. It would be nice to have a throwback season like on Dallas... have Susan waking up and finding Mike in the shower like nothing happenned and the entire season was erased. I know others would be mad but I'd like to see that.

yes, they string us along! I wish they'd make some more shows for summer viewing. I don't watch anything else, seriously...

I think killing off Edie and having her come back as hallucinations was really good but if Dave is dead I hope there'll still be a place for Nicolette Sheridan since she's one of my faves.

I saw an interview, can't remember where, and the gyst was that the show's producers were looking to rap it up but now I see May 2011 so it looks like we'll have at least 2 more seasons!!

of course that's just the creators wish... I'm kind of sick of it but it is the only non-reality show I watch so I would miss it.

Congrats on the baby! I was coming here to thank-you for a long ago comment on a pic I posted and saw the good news. I'll share some things from my experiences. I have three kids, boy2001, girl2004 and girl2006. I nursed 18ish months-2 1/2 yrs with each and found it very comfortable.

IMO The key to breastfeeding is starting asap. The nurses at the hospital I was in were wonderful! they woke me up every few hours and helped me position baby correctly. boy2001 would NOT open his mouth, he'd keep his little lips so small. The girls on the other hand caught on right away! no issues... so it can really depend on the baby how easy it's going to be.

It hurt a lot of first, I didn't do any prep before hand, I think people make it too complicated in classes and such, you need someone by your side in the hospital.

I hope you give it a try, it's really fun and so wonderful to have your baby watching you while he's eating. I suggest padded bras (just in case of leakage) and a large (crib sized) knit or crochet blanket. The holes in that type of light blanket is perfect for ventilation, light and for attatching into whatever little area you're in. I fed my babies everywhere and never got one comment or dirty look, most people mind their own business, just cover yourself with the blanket and then lift your shirt!

As far as leaving, etc... it really depends on your kids temperment. Some kids form bonds with multiple people and others just stick to the one. Things that worked for my husband were stroller rides, sitting in a bouncy seat near white noise like the dishwasher or vacuum. Walk around the house looking at familiar objects helps a lot, one painting in particular would captivate girl2004... she loved that painting when she was a baby.
