I don't know how many points they generate but gather used to frown on this. I have been away for months; since I've been gone the point system has changed but I don't know what the change was. I was never here for the points anyway but it was a nice perk.

John, I hope he's burr proof. I've only had him two weeks, my son just got him and I'm babysitting or is that pug sitting. We love him, he's such a nice little fella.

Barb- I can't wait to see Launa's reflection! Steve's head is crowded but each alter serves a purpose and has a reason for being present. Chi-Chi is mischievous, she's only six years old and she isn't fond of Mrs. Peabody; she thinks Mrs. peabody is a meanie.

Pat- Thank You! My family also believed that the mirror could be a gateway; I think a lot of inspiration came from growing up with that.

This was very interesting and helpful. I have been working on my novel for years, always setting personal deadlines and never reaching them. I get distracted by my life and end up writing poetry or shorts; I think more for the instant gratification of actually completing something. Maybe if I got out of the house I could get more done. Thanks for writing this, you have given me much to think about.

When I joined almost three years ago it was a writers site. I was very happy to join as I wanted to be among other writers, in those days we published our content. Now we share since gather has become a social site. I was one of those who complained on the article you mentioned.
Back when I first joined there were many here who shared social pieces and they were attacked, I stood up for them and publicly stated that I loved my fluffies; referring to those who posted fluff articles.
If you stay in one place long enough you make friends and I have made many. It has become very difficult for me to post only writing and not personal aspects of my life as I do have friends here. It has also been hard to share my work on here because I fear it being stolen, I only post writings that I have no intention of publishing in the future.
I miss the writing, I miss many of the people who left because the site changed. I am unhappy that the site is more of a social site. I think there is room for a variety of things and I'm not saying that those who only socialize should be banished but I wish more writers would return. With this said I don't believe there should be hostility or DB 1's, I feel if you have the courage to leave a poor rating you should back it up with a comment.
