For my daughter's 16th we just offered to pick up the tab at a local "starbucks" like coffee shop. It was a locally owned, and was in the evening (slow time) so the owners readily agreed. They were still opened to the public, but the kids ordered in pizza and bought their favorite drinks and acted all grown up just socializing.

Best wishes. The only advice I can offer is to protect your SS. I understand once they take that away it's almost impossible to get requalified.

I searched wikipedia and found this statement:

I think you should tell the manager how you feel. So often we simply accept that which is tossed our way.

I have a friend who owns a restaurant and he said the worse thing that can happen to him is when a customer fails to complain. Why? They simply don't come back. He not only doesn't know why, but has not even been given the opportunity to satisfy his customer.

$5 may not sound like a lot, unless you don't have it. I love your attitude about giving. Who are we to judge what another human being needs.

I haven't been to Vegas in a few years, but it is amazing. Each major casino is like it's on self contained city. Unless you've experienced it, you'll never believe it.
