Ebay, Craigslist, Goodwill, Yard Sales, Coupons, SwagBucks, and MyPoints. By utilizing one, several, or all of these, you can save so much. I rarely buy toys and clothes full price, especially since my toddler son never knows the difference. In fact, all of his absolute favorite toys were second-hand, including a ride-on toy I got from craigslist (originally $45-50, I got it for $15 and it was in almost new condition), a xylophone from Goodwill, LeapPads from Goodwill, a ball popper from craigslist (originally $25, I paid $3), and more. I also love Walmart's clearance section. I can get T-shirts for $1-2 if I buy them at the end of the summer, and sweatshirts for cheap, too.

I can't believe people would make comments like that without even knowing the situation. What if the toddler was sick and the mom was just trying to pick up a few essentials? I'm sure all parents know that sometimes toddlers just have meltdowns, middle of the store or not, it's going to happen. It doesn't mean the mother is a bad mother, it doesn't mean the child is a bad child. So for people to make comments about the mother is in very bad form, and wrong. Besides that, there is NO excuse to hit someone else's child like that.

As for the man? I almost don't even want to touch that subject. If it were me and he had slapped my son, I would've kicked some serious butt then and there. You don't touch my child like that. Really, you shouldn't touch your own child like that. There is a BIG difference between a spanking or a pop, and slapping. I mean, seriously, the child was only a TODDLER.

I totally feel where you're coming from. I only have one, an 18 month old son, but I get so frustrated with him sometimes. Especially lately because I have been so sick and not getting hardly any sleep. It may not have been the right thing to do, to blow up like that, but don't beat yourself up too badly, because at least you know it was wrong, at least you were able to talk to your kids after and reassure them that you love them and that what you did was not ok. That shows that you are a good mommy and care about your kids and that you just get overwhelmed. If I were nearby I would offer to babysit so you could get a night away and recharge your batteries. If you can get someone to watch them, especially overnight, go for it. Take that opportunity to pamper the heck out of yourself. :)

That is a BIG freakin house. I wouldn't mind having it! Of course, I would need a housemate because that house looks like a good setting for a horror movie, and I'd be scared to be home alone at night. LOL

I love putting together boxes, busting out my creative skills and finding fun little treats, even if it just comes from the freebies I get or the Dollar Tree. It's just as much fun to send them as it is to receive them. It's fun to put them together, and then fun to have a nice surprise in your mailbox. Send me a message and we'll talk. :)
