It really helped to keep me motivated. My son has autism and hugging is not really his thing so getting hugs as I lost the weight was AWESOME!

I know! It has totally changed my life, I've gotten off medications for high cholestrol and high blood pressure and am now smaller than I was when I gradutated from high school. The best part is that I am keeping it off and learning that life can be everything you imagine.

I tried this program as my "last chance" to get my weight, high blood pressure and high cholestrol under control. You never know what you can do unless you try. I really didn't think it would work but it has and I have an entirely new life now. I've been a health coach for a while now and I'm amazed at how many of my clients start out thinking they can't do it and find that they can. I'm happy to talk with you more about it if you would like.

Upstate New York fall is the best! I grew up there and we have nothing like it here in the heartland of Missouri (Kansas City area). Fall is my favorite season!

This happens to us all the time too! The thing I hate the most is when it's an automated system that says "if you are not this person press 1" then you press 1 and it keeps going as if you are the person they are looking for. Let me know if the phone company can give you a "clean" number, we've had this number for over 3 years and still have this problem.

Being fat seems to be one of the last things that it is "politically correct" to make fun of. It's not right and it's not fair. People need to realize that almost 78% of Americans are overweight and it's not about not having will power or "letting yourself go". It's about the way our society has organized itself around fast, cheap, nutrition free food that is cheap to produce and leads us to eat more. Did you know the new McD Angus burgers have over 750 calories each! Add fries and a coke and you've got several days worth of food! But, they make it seem like the right thing to do don't they?

Regarding exercise and weight... check out this Time magazine article http://www.time.com/time/printout/0,8816,1914857,00.html ... Why exercise won't make you thin.

There are so many programs and such out there, so much conflicting evidence it's confusing and overwhelming.

I think the answer is finding something that works for your body, your family and fits into your life.

Blond highlights sound like a great idea. Of course I'm freaking out a little that my hair is so short! When I started this journey I had long hair to the middle of my back and now... it's gone! My husband's suggestion as he said my hair no longer fit my new body. He says it fits now. Gentlemen do prefer blonds though don't they? :)
