Are you nuts? The USPS is not a privatized entity. You are wrong on your attitude about nationalizing all the things you said. First off we are a free nation. The most important aspect of being American is the freedom of the individual. It is this very freedom that led to the explosion of innovation and prosperity that no other country has ever match in such a short span of time.
Power generation was a private enterprise, telecommunications was a private enterprise...
We are Americans, we are capitalists, we prosper and live off the fruit of our own labor. Profits is not a dirty word.
I am ever amazed at those who pontificate their disgust for companies making a profit. The same companies I invest in, in hopes of sharing in that profit, the same companies that provide millions of jobs and benefits. The same companies that compete with each other and succeed or fail on their merits. It is a loser mentality to bemoan the success of a company and decide they "have made too much", it is not anyone's call unless something illegal is going on.
God Bless America and American Capitalism
Remember many of those working those long toiling hours six-seven days a week , 10-12 hours a day are the owners of small businesses across this nation.

Climate is always changing,cycling between warmer and colder extremes. It is only the weak minded that let snake oil politicians convince them that the greatest nation in the entire existence of human history is the cause of natural climate shifts and needs to be dismantled and its people sentenced to punitive taxation and third world existences.

What next, are we to be blamed for continental shift?

Our elected officials have taken it upon themselves to not only tax industry off our shores but now are going for the final death blow with this cap and trade bullsnot.

If we stand by and do nothing then we don't deserve our freedom and prosperity. THis is the prime example of how fragile it is and how many enemies of our state we have among us.

Looks like this email I received is a hoax circulating around the internet, but the following is what I did find on her voting record:

Voted NO on retaining reduced taxes on capital gains & dividends.
Voted NO on providing tax relief and simplification as prescribed by the Working Families Tax Relief Act of 2004.
Voted NO on making permanent an increase in the child tax credit.
Voted NO on making the Bush tax relief permanent that are to expire in 2010.
Voted NO on $99 economic stimulus: capital gains & income tax cuts in 2002.
Voted NO on eliminating the Estate Tax (“death tax”)
Voted NO on $46 billion in tax cuts for small business – 2000.

Nothing this women does is in the name of increasing the prosperity of Americans.
It should also be noted when she voted for increasing the Federal Minimum wage, she made sure it excluded one place and only one place, American Samoa, where she has a financial interest in the Tuna operations, interesting how raise the wages, except where it might cost her her profits.
We really need term limits in the Congress and Senate, too many entrenched politicians doing the business of making themsleves rich on our dime.

Interesting way to create more jobs by arm twisting Chrysler and GM to close dealerships across the country, arm twisting Chrysler to cut its advertising budget in half, printing money with no backing, planning on seizing the health care system.
This is not to mention the un Constitutional actions of forced stock conversions and handing over of ownership in the GM and Chrysler to the UAW.
Lest we forget we are a free country and a country where the government has limited, not unlimited powers.
This administration with its leftist cohorts in the Congress and Senate are usurping our Constitution every day and no one is stopping them, in fact many idiots are applauding him.
We are not a socialist nation, we are a nation of individuals with individual rights that are more important than any groups rights, it is what made us the greatest nation on Earth .
Socializing medicine is unacceptable, nationalizing industries in unacceptable. This farce has to end before our country really is crippled beyond repair.
Not once have I heard one inkling of a proposed policy to boost this economy in the right direction, not one word of encouragement, nothing.
We can turn this economy around in a heartbeat if we started drilling our own oil, building our own nuclear power plants, building coal fired plants, lower corporate taxes and capital gains taxes in order to encourage domestic manufacturing and so on, but none of this is on this President's agenda, because he doesn't want to see prosperity. He wants to turn this country into one giant housing project where we all stand "gratefully" in line for our block of cheese and quart of milk, while he dines on Kobe beef and sips Krystal.

Last I heard we were all born on this planet, so why should anyone feel the the need to focus hate and rage against another is bewildering enough.
Instead of wondering about it, as humans we should be taking a stand along side the Jewish state and crush those who have declared from behind their own religious curtain that they want to destroy them and their nation.
My patience is worn past thin watching and listening to news reports of small minded evil leaders blathering on the air waves denials of the holocaust and desires to wipe Israel off the map. We sit here and watch Iran rattle that saber daily and we also are watching Iran develop missiles and nuclear weapons and doing nothing about it.
Its like standing in a room with a crazy man telling you he is going to kill you all the while he is loading his gun and you do nothing about it.

Wow, it would be great if this were true, but it is a lie. I've known plenty of people here in Connecticut over the years collecting unemployment compensation while attending schools to train them in new skills also on the state dime. Another thing is since when does the Federal government control each states unemployment programs? As far as I know each sovereign state conducts its unemployment program as they see fit.
To me this is another example of this President who thinks he rules by decree.
Someone needs to slip him a copy of the US Constitution and tell him this isn't Chicago and his thuggery politics aren't going to fly very long.

Oh my "fear is founded in reality. You are the one confusing necessary government services such as roads, schools , taxes. The government has no business creating conditions to cause the collapse of the banking industry only to walk in and take them over. It was not a week that had gone by and we heard Franks and Schumer demand names and threaten we are coming for you. I am sorry not in my country does an elected official have the audacity to threaten American citizens with the "power" of their office.
I fully understand the proper role of government and I also understand that our present government is out of control drunk on its own perceptions of its power and needs to be overturned in the next election, MASSIVELY.
Too many have been in Washington too long and have forgotten that they serve us , not the other way around.
There is no confusion, this administration has its plans to socialize and nationalize anything and everything it think it can get its hands on.
I can only conclude that those who align themselves politically to the left are in agreement with this attack on the US Constitution and the American people.

People either have been indoctrinated into this socialist mind set or just don't understand, We The People and our individual rights are more important than any issue the federal government drums up.
I don't understand when it became the national past time to berate capitalism, to bad mouth the act of doing business and making money and turn that into a crime.
This is a country of equal opportunity, not equal outcome.
The government imposes taxation policies, mandates, makes laws it shouldn't make and then acts surprised as free Americans do what they can to go around these stupid obstacles.

Our economic problems right now are the culmination of stupid laws and policies imposed by self important politicians. To some extent the damage done seems purposeful.
We should be drilling for our own oil an exploiting it.
We should be building nuclear power plants.
we should be mining our coal and burning it .
We should be lowering the corporate taxes to make it worth manufacturing here on our soil.
We should be laughing at this notion of man made global warming and putting it in the context of what it is, a bad joke being used as a basis for further taxation and robbing us of our personal freedoms.
We can exploit our energy resources and do it cleanly, it seems for some the MMGW issue becomes a clean environment issue. I want a clean environment , we can have both without this lie that we can make enough electricity by spinning pinwheels and using solar panels.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on socialized health care. In theory it sounds like a nice idea, people able to get health care at will, no worries about catastrophic care and so on. In practice it doesn't work and as the federal government has shown time and time again it abuses its power when given the authority. It extorts states when states resist mandates such as the 55MPH speed limit, when states began seeing it as useless and wanted to change the speed limits in their states they were threatened with loss of funds.
Some states are already imposing their will on their employees who smoke, charging them higher insurance premiums for their health habits.
Open the door to this invasion into your personal life and it will eat your freedom like a cancer

Hello B.S. its called comedy, try lightening up and having a sense of humor.
If the government hasn't "taken them over" then how is it they fired the CEO?
My point is our government is in our faces in every aspect of our lives, totally forgetting the most important thing in this nation is the rights of the individual, not the collective.
It is the government's fault we are in this bind in the first place, between denying us access to our own resources, hence putting us at the mercy of OPEC's prices, to forcing financial institutions to issue sub prime loans under the threat of criminal prosecution, recall Reno's threats? Where does the government get off doing any of this is what I want to know. Now they think they are going to socialize our health care system? Under what authority, it is not the responsibility of the government to provide health care.
Screw the Republican/Democrat thing I am asking this as an American who would like to think he recalls what this nation's founding principals are.

Interesting perspective B.S.( also an appropriate set of initials) you don't see any Constitutional problems because congress voted on it, the President signed it, it is then ok, but yet I'd bet dollars to donuts that you ranted and raved about the Patriot act, this illegal war and so on, but yet those things were voted on and passed by Congress and the President signed them into law.

Let's see the government now owns half of GM and gave the other half to the UAW, plus the government placed GM's CEO in his job.
Where are they not owning and controlling, two things the government has no Constitutional right to do.
By the way, when was the last time the US Postal Service made a profit?
Instead of going postal are we going to hear about going all Pontiac on some one?
Black and white? That's the problem no one has the balls top be black and white. GM, Chrylser and the banks should have been allowed to collapse and been bought up by opportunistic capitalists that would have resurrected them into something profitable and sustainable. They failed for a reason and printing money to keep failing policies and altering our nation in the process is no way to go.
Why is it liberals have no problem with our president "firing" CEO's and taking over corporations as long as that president is of the proper political party?

Again there is an air of irreverence, arrogance and ignorance with this President. I saw it way back when he gave that lame reason for not wearing an American flag pin on his lapel.
The history, friendship and alliance between Great Britain and the United States is unique, solid and should be regularly celebrated, I would hope the people and government of Great Britain understand we have an oaf in office.
