mary parker Jun 4, 2009, 4:49pm EDT Maryce, I know how you feel. On my mother's side, I am part Spaniard, FRench,Greek, and Turkish(not in that order). ON my dad's side, Native American. My dad was the hardest working man in town. We always heard the stereotypes about "Indians". Indians now are the forgotten people in American society. No one ever has a conversation with them. I speak 4 languages-English,Spanish,French,Turkish. It's hard to find anyone Turkish but it's getting some easier. I am proud of every part of me. Those who downgrade others are just plain ignorant. Cuidate!

mary parker Jun 4, 2009, 4:45pm EDT "Conga" music-Cuban music has different styles. There is son,balsero,Cubana salsa,just to name a few. Gloria Estefan did a song called "Conga". I have some Puerto Rican friends that would bet you every penny you have that reggeton started in Puerto Rico and then spread to other surrounding countries. Have you ever been to Calle Ocho festival here in Miami? You should come.
