I'm jealous. I wish it were hot enough here not to back cookies. We are about 19 days of rain in 25 days. It's ridiculous. I planted flowers from seed and I'm sure the seeds have rotted. Hopefully the sun will come out for the weekend. Enjoy the cookies!

I used to read all her books. After awhile like most authors they write pretty much the same so you can guess the ending before you get there. So I stopped reading her. I was reading Nora Roberts too and the same thing happened so now I haven't read her in a while.

We have a place down the street that sells plastic 50 gallon drums. We use them to collect water from the spout. We also have one we cut in half to put the food out for the deer, moose etc. They work very well for both purposes. They were really cheap $12.00.

When my daughter was in the Navy, I had a bunch of Navy Moms from different states send her post cards so that I could put them in her scrapbook. They all included a little note to Ashley. We didn't get all 50 states but we did get quite a few!

My daughter just ended her enlistment in the Navy. We are going to scrapbook her adventures over the past 5 years in the Navy. We have pics from Iraq,  Japan, Germany, Korea, and good old California. We will be spending time in our beautiful backyard as a family. We will take this time to beautify our yard even more, now that we have the time and won't be traveling. Hopefully, next year will be a better year.
