OK ... now to answer the original question as it was pointed out that I did not but I thought I did? Sprit has no one gender but consist of both masculine and feminine sides or as it said ... has no gender ... neither male or female ... that is human to be either male or female. All I'm saying is since God created both He had to have both in Him. Since we when we die and pass on to the next life ... we lose our gender status and become whole ... genderless .. for we become spirits. In a sense we too are of both genders. NOW ... Satan is also spirit .... a demon or fallen angel ... has no one gender ... or genderless ... neither male or female .. or both! I refer to Satan with the male pronoun because the Bible does ... as I previously explained though earlier in the language explaination of pronouns ... this no mean Lucifer was necessarely male or female. Just think ... in Heaven ... no battle of the sexes ... LOL! We will all be equal .. the same ... but still unique and different from the other ................ is not God GRAND?

Well .... the first human may have been male and the second human female .... but every male and female born since then starts off as female in the wound ... every fetus is female up until the 6-7th week of gestation .... biological fact! SMILE! By the way ... I have never referred to God as a she ... God ... Yahweh is my Father in Heaven and I have always referred to my Father as He or Him ... but as I said before God/Spirit has no one gender ... rather consist of both feminine and masculine characteristics ... then we all do in varing degrees as humans .. as pointed out to me by the love of my life. NOW ... Mother Earth is another whole ballgame .... LOL!!! Being a woman ... I prefer a man who is in charge ... then I always have someone to blame! JUST KIDDING! I'm actually glad God created both male and female ... makes life and living much more interesting ... Don't you think ... SMILE!

OK ... here is MY belief .... GOD is of neither gender alone, rather, God is made up of both genders. In the beginning God created Man ... as in Mankind ... in God's image .. making Adam complete ... both male and female as his Father in Heaven. Mankind refers to both Man and/or Woman. Then God decided Adam was all alone and needed a companion and mate ... Adam was created from the dust of the earth and God's spirit. Eve, Woman, was created from Adam, the dust of the earth, and God's spirit. The rib that the Bible speaks of is symbolic ... in reality it was the female gender side of Adam. Mankind was created with both genders in the beginning just as God and the spirits are. God further states that both male and female would long for one enother. I believe the real attraction between man and woman is for what the other lacks in themselves because they belong together and is the reason why God speaks of when we go to heaven there would be no gender for we will once again be perfect and complete ... made up of both genders just as our Father and all other spirits.
This is why we have the battle of the sexes .... we are always seeking to be one ... whole ... complete ... in our lacking of the other side.

In the Hebrew Bible (and in translations to languages with a she/he dichotomy) God is referred to as "he". God might be a 'He' in the Bible but non-Hebrew-literate individuals do not always know that in Hebrew language, grammatical gender is NOT an indicator of actual gender. Hebrew nouns have grammatical gender. Each object is masculine or feminine. There are no gender-neutral pronouns in Hebrew, i.e. there is no equivalent of the English "it". Everything is a "he" or a "she".

The spirit of God Ruach Elohim (Genesis 1:2) is a feminine noun. So is the Shekhinah -- the Presence of God. Does that mean the Spirit of God and the Presence of God are female?

Take for example the word "animal" -- hayyah in Hebrew. Hayyah is a feminine noun. Therefore, by the rules of Hebrew grammar, whenever people speak of a hayyah, they have to refer to it as "she". This does not indicate that the animal in question is actually female.

Since the titles for God in the Hebrew Bible (Elohim, El, Adonai) are masculine nouns, God is called "he". A book sefer is a masculine noun too. So a book is also called "he". God is no more male than a book is male.

In Chinese, a language with gender-neutral pronouns, a special genderless pronoun is used in reference to Divinity (roughly equivalent to IT). When translating the Bible into Chinese, using "he" to reference God was out of the question because the Chinese character for "he" contained the character "human". (Chinese characters are picture-words which may consist of other Chinese characters.) To bring God to the level of man was blasphemous.

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)

Too often, humans have projected their own image of oppressive manhood onto God. People in power (usually men) assume that God must think, act and feel the way they do, and less powerful minorities often respond by rejecting God when what they really have issue with is not God but the majority-sanctioned ideas of God. Insisting that God's personality and preferences mirrors that of humans (or at least the men of more privileged classes), is at best, making the mistake that Luther believed Erasmus was making at the time he told Erasmus, "Your God is too human", or worse, committing idolatry by casting God in man's image.

Does gender have a place in the spirit world?

Galatians 3:28 states:"...there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

What!!! It's my little Poco ... the Little Twirp is at it again ... first he steals my side of the love seat and side of the bed ... now he's on Gather to!! WAIT!! I think Master Twirp put him up to it! Ha ... I will be back this weekend and I will regain my position from the Little Twirp as Queen Twirp!!! It will be I who will sit next to Master Twirp and the Little Twirp may have his spot on the other side of me. Oh YES ... he is a fierce one to be reckoned with for any unknowing stranger who wanders by ... his bark is all it takes to rid us of their pressence for they are never to be found when we open the door to see who may be stirring out there for they have split like the wind ... he he he! Not a sound nor creature stirs without our little Poco putting them/it in their place. HA! I love my little Poco ... can't decide which one I love most BIG Twirp or LITTLE Twirp ... guess I'll have to keep them both !!!

He was no youth when he made his biggest mistake that most others would have never got away with. True it was never proven and who am I to judge without the facts ... but it was very clear at the time when it occured who was responsible for the young womans death ... it was his name and money that kept him from being brought to trial. I see him as a coward for this act of crime should he be guilty ... God will judge him accordingly as we all will be judged. Has he done all that much good ... maybe ... maybe not ... I respect him for his political position and as a human being flawed as we all are ... but because it was never proven or disaproven of the death of the young lady ... I hold him at a distance of suspicion just as in OJ's case. Should he be forgiven he was guilty ... well that is what Jesus died for ... for all us and our flaws and mistakes ... did Kennedy pray for forgiveness and repent ... that I do not know ... only God know's his heart will administer his due reward ... I have to give him the benefit of the doubt ... I too have made mistakes that have affected other's ... crimes of this magitude ... no ... but what sin is greater then the next ... that's God's say .......................... D ... none of the above ... I remain quite and leave it to my Father in Heaven to decide.

Gosh .... there are so many! SO MANY! It's so hard to decide which one to list first ... so many to have as a favorite ... I suppose for starts right off the top of my head is an old classic of The Lettermen's recording of You'll Never Walk Alone back in the early 60's. My senior class of 65 sang it as our graduation song just as in the classic movie Spencer's Mountain of that same time period. Another one is Climb Every Mountain ... need I say more? Anyway that's a beginning ... yes, Lionel ... music can inspire so many emotions ... joy, happiness, sadness, fond memories, deep meditation, spiritualness, romantic, and plain out crazyness/wildness ... I love music in all these emotions and especially to dance to .. I love to dance as you well know. Music and dance are two expressions that God gave us to enjoy and express ourselves and to inspire others both among humans and spiritual beings.

Doucet is Lionel's mother's maiden name ... and I'm working on his family tree .. it's what I do ... as a hobby .. both his parents the LaVergne's and Douset's were from Quebec Canada but moved to Louisiana where Lionel was born .... I maintain over 2 dozen people's family trees ... it's my passion ... spending time with those who have left this earth ... finding out all I can about those who lived before myself and finding the connections that make us all siblings ... we are that you know ... all children of our Heavenly Father. I have connected many who did not they were related ............. smile!

I too have been to Gatlinburg in 1980 ... the Aspen of the East as I call it. Also, Knoxville a few times and I lived in Chattanooga for two years in the Red Bank area up around Signel Mtn. I was born and raised in the Atlanta area and the southeast (lived in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee) and now live in the Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas area .. of all the places I've ever lived Chattanooga is my favorite. Lionel ... maybe the two of us should do Gatlinburg some day.

There are many in my life of 62 years ... one major one I cannot mention ... a few of the ones that would be at the top of the list would be the birth of my one and only child/daughter almost 27 years ago ... after that would be seeing her graduate from kindergarden and the teacher wanting to have her set back because of her lack reading ability and repeat kindergarden the following year ... but we worked with her all summer long and she went on to the 1st grade that year, then high school where she graduated as Valedictorian, then college where she graduated 4 yrs as an honor student on the dean list and a member of the national honor society ... her degree was journalism and is a writer herself ... now she is to marry next month, another landmark of greatest events in my life .... I suppose my daughter is the greatest of all ... from the time of 4 or 5 years of age ... all I could think of was getting married and having a daughter ... now she is to marry and leave me ... by the way she still lives with me. Other events at the top would be when I dedicated my life to God ... my marriage 38 years ago that produced my daughter ... I suppose the latest would be when I met Lionel .... there are many more for God has blessed me more in ways that most are not. I'm sure there will be more .. new ones ... maybe a grandchild one day and who knows what else.

I agree fully with Lionel and with the last comment by Debbie ... as in the song ... addicted to love ... not all are ... but true unconditional love is the greatest emotion that God gave us ... when I love it's 100% ...
