Although the gun did not save him in this instance, having a gun handy and being able to USE it in an emergency situation, has been known to save others' lives.

Guns don't guarantee your safety...obviously, he was caught off-guard (no pun intended)...that's one of the risks you take when you are a security officer...but there were many shots fired in the video...I can only imagine how many people would have been killed had there been no one else armed to return the gunman's fire, and eventually, kill him.

Yes it is...if they actually got out of the way, and left people alone, we would all get along better, and we would be a very powerful nation, united on many fronts.

Well, before that will happen, the govt will be confiscating all guns, because they don't want millions of mad people with guns after them.

I still think he handled this all wrong.

Sounds like lazy people on duty...if people would just do their job....reminds me of credit card security and cashiers...I write on the back of my credit cards, PHOTO ID REQUIRED, before I sign them...and you'd be surprised how few times I have ever been asked for my ID, they don't even check the signature...it would be EASY for a criminal to steal and use someone's credit cards.

I think that aspect of this health care bill is designed to hide some other agenda that we are not aware of yet...another freedom lost....now, you consent to being jailed for not having ins...."SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS, OLD MAN!" No? Well then...."OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

We already sign that paper when we are admitted to the hospital, and when we fill out papers at the dr's office, we fill out who is the responsible party and address, and phone number...this is so they can bill you if the ins doesn't go through. Same at the hosp...your signature guarantees payment to them, in the event the ins co does not pay. I don't see the reason everyone needs to be fined if they don't carry ins...? Just bill the person directly then...why be jailed because you don't have ins?

Well, in a Federal Building, there is a security point you have to walk through that will detect any metal parts of a gun, and if youa re carrying concealed, you must remove your weapon at that checkpoint, so........obviously, that didn't stop him either, unless this happened outside the check point.

Adrenaline can do strange things...I wouldn't want to have to let him get close enough that he could grab the end of my shotgun, before I can get a good shot on him. But each to his own. I wish you the best.

Well then, I supposed his relatives are confused about it, because many of them claim to have been with his mother in Kenya and witnessed his birth there. Not to mention that there are experts who have looked at the fake document he has posted on his website and have shown evidence that proves it is a fake.
That's what the Jan 26th trial is all about...he will be asked by a judge to present his REAL birth certificate...hence, the question I asked in the post: Could INTERPOL be holding the original document, to protect him?

In 1972 Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden and others traveled to North Vietnam to give their support to the North Vietnamese's Government. When she returned to the United States, she advised the news media that all of the American Prisoners of War were being well treated and were not being tortured.

As the American POWs returned home in 1973, they spoke out about the inhumane treatment and torture they had suffered as prisoners of war. Their stories directly contradicted Jane Fonda's earlier statements of 1972. Some of the American POWs such as Senator John McCain, a former Presidential candidate, stated that he was tortured by his guards for refusing to meet with Jane Fonda and her group. Jane Fonda, in her response to these new allegations, referred to the returning POWs as being "hypocrites and liars."
