ANY ADULT, either gender . . . who finds an attraction to any child (under age eighteen), other than the appreciation for the child's "cuteness"; humor, intelligence, and personality is in serious need of professional help. However, I do not believe any adult with pedophillic urges can be helped by any "professional" mental health practioner. There are too many stories of children who have been abducted, sexually abused, tortured, and murdered by REPEAT OFFENDERS. The lucky ones, Elizabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard are recent examples, but still they have been scared for life. The only way to protect outr children is to "watch" them every minute of the day . . . since that is impossible, IF an adult is identified as one who has hurt any child, PRISON for life - - - no exceptions!

What a great story! Thank God I only have one son, (black hair, brown eyes from his mother - I am natural blond, blue eyes from my father). I think I would have killed him if he had ever pulled that stunt! However, since it was YOU and your stepsons, I've enjoyed a great laugh for the day! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL - INSIDE and OUT! I know it has not taken you 55 years to learn, beyond any possible doubt, GOD LOVES YOU! I believe God gives us LIFE, and all the support needed to sustain life, through Nature (water, trees, flowers, plants, oxygen, food from the earth). By the way, I read the comment above from Holly C. - I do not like the fact that our nation's flag is imported from China! We have a company right here in Hialeah, Florida that has been making American flags in all sizes, for many years. When I buy my flags, I make sure they say "Made in the U.S. of A.". Out of curiousity, I just checked my ceramic American Eagle collection with the American Flags on them; 9 out of 12 have a label saying "Made in China". I would throw them out, but that would be stupid. The Chinese people who made them obviously did so with pride, and they are really nice to look at!

I am a Veteran of the United States Air Force - Militaryu Police Combat Defense Forces (Viet Nam). Each evening on the NBC News I see our brave men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I can tell you, in a combat zone, you are not thinking of "God, Country, Mom's Apple Pie" - - - YOU are scared as HELL! You just do your best and pray that God has a better plan for you and your crew. I see these kids, NO, I mean these young MEN and WOMEN (we now have WOMEN in the U.S. Military in COMBAT), and I am so PROUD of them, and I PRAY for each and every one, that God protects them and they come home to their families. We just buried a young (21) year old MARINE, Killed in Combat in Iraq. He was an IMMIGRANT from Mexico, but HE was a UNITED STATES MARINE, who had graduated from the Miami-Dade Firefighters Academy, but weanted to serve his country before coming home to serve his community as a Firefighter!
I proudly fly the falg of the United States of America every day in front of my home, and I have an American Bald Eagle (ceramic) colelction in my office with TWELVE American flags.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS - THEY ARE KEEPING YOU FREE to choose to fly the flag or NOT fly the flag.

I seldom partake in serious debates such as this. That is why I watched the "60 MINUTES" segment on Michael Vick last evening. That segment gave me ALL the DETAILS. Michael Vick was exposed to this heinous "sport" at the age of EIGHT. He recalled that, watching the "older men" involved, he just thought it was "okay"; even recounting when a police patrol car stopped, saw two dogs fuighting, and the men "cheering", the police got back in their car and left. Michael Vick was seated between the President of the American Humane Societyy and Mr. Tony Duggins, (a Former NFL Coach). He showed great remorse for his actions, and he has PAID an extreme price. He lost his $130,000,000.00 Contract with Atlanta; he spent 18 months in a Federal Prison, and He is still "suspended Indefinetly" from playing in the NFL. He admitted that he knew what he was doing was wrong, and that he lied about it, and he was caught. I for one, believe he has paid the price, and deserves a second chance. I think he will contyinue paying, not only financially, but in giving his time to become a good role-model for kids, and to expose and stop this disgusting 'sport' nationwide. Let's face facts, NO ONE will forget his prior bad acts, but, as one said, "Even O.J. got a second chance, and he killed people!". O.J. was judged "guilty" in a civil court for the "wrongful deaths" of his former wife and Ron Goldman, and assessed $33,000,000.00 to the victim's families. Yet, they have collected ZERO. Now, he sits in prision in Nevada, for a stupid "armed robbery" charge. AL CAPONE killed hundreds of people, yet he only spent time in a Federal Prison for 'tax evasion'. Michael Vick is not the evil Satan people are making him out to be. I came away from the "60 Minutes" segment, actually liking the guy, not for what he was, but for how he is determined to conduct his life, on and off the football field from here on out. I think he will surprise everyone and turn out to be a great human being.

First, I am an ANIMAL LOVER too, all animals. That said, I saw Michaelk Vick at the Eagles Press Conference. I believe his remorse is genuine, but more important, he satted our nation is one of "second chances". I do believe he has "Paid his debt to society". I believe he has paid dearly with the loss of his freedom for 18 months. I think Michael Vick deservesd a second chance, and I believe he will prove his worth, not only for his team, the NFL, but to society as well. After all, Human Socities "put down" millions of dogs and cats every year, claiming "no one wants them". In this econopmy, I have seen reports of dogs and cats being surrendered to Humane Societies because people can't afford to keep them. I have three dogs, and about five "neighborhood" cats that I feed daily, and my dogs would eat before I, if it came to that.

Judging from some of the comments here about the American Flag and Patriotism, I see why our country has so many problems. I live in Miami, Florida, where the majority of population is now Hispanic; Cuban, Columbian, Argentinian, Hondurans, Nicarauguans, Peruvians, Mexicans, Brazilians. Native born American citizens are the minority in this 6th. largest American city. It is common to see flags from every country adorning homes, businesses and cars, and many flying alongside the American flag. I PROUDLY fly the Flag of the United States of America, for which I fought for. At the same time, I respect those from other nations who fly their flags at their homes and businesses and even decals and flags on their cars. I espectially respect those who fly both the American flag along with the flag of their birth nation. Our nation is one of Immigrants, and our creed is to welcome all and help one another.
