First....there is NO WAY she didn't know about this (well maybe not ALL of this)
Today other golfers on the tour even came out and said they knew all of this was going on.
What I want to know is how the hell did he keep them all straight? He must have been having more than one affair at the same time! Imagine the stress of that ON TOP of having a wife and kids -- oh yeah and let's not forget the fact that you are the #1 golfer in the world. Maybe that's how he learned to concentrate so well!

This is such a sad story. I would think there was something we as a gather family could do for them. Please let me know if there was some simple thing that all of us could do.

I can't tell you enough how absolutely true everything you quoted is true and on point! If all parents had a magic genie and could go foward sixteen years and see what they have done to their child they would probably want a 'do-over.' It is amazing to realize that we as parents parent a child for a approximately 20% of their life and parent an adult for the rest of their life. But that the first 5 years truly make the biggest difference.

A simple 'yes you can' rather than a 'how stupid are you?' changes everything. Children don't ask to be born.. they don't choose their parents..they don't put themselves here. If all parents would realize what a phenomenal experience it was the world truly would be a better place to be!

In most cases there is absolutely nothing you can do until the abused person is ready to do something about it herself. There are shelters in all 50 states and a national help line 1800-799-SAFE. There is a network of helpful people. You can also help her by building a strong support system for her if, and when she leaves. Another thing that is very helpful, even though it will be hard for you: Do not talk bad about the person she is with -- it will only make her defend him more.

Isn't it sad what people resort to? I'm not saying its right...because it is definitely wrong. But what would make someone do something like that other than he NEEDED the money! I mean think about it. He found something he thought he could get away with and he did for a while. There is always going to be someone somewhere trying to make a buck the wrong way.

Hmmm. I never thought about it that way. So are you saying that if the organizations did not provide for the homeless it would give them more incentive to get off the street?

I have been asking myself that question a lot in the past year. I also go back to the people who say that homeless people are lazy. I can tell you from first hand experience that living on the street -- and surviving means that you have to work at it -- if you're lazy you're dead.
My new book - Sorrowed Souls - in the introduction I mention a couple - PeeWee and LaShawn, well her mother actually has a home very close to where they 'live' on an embankment in the Los Angeles riverbed. They 'choose' to live the life of the homeless rather than live with her mother. So sometimes it is a choice...but I truly believe this is an exception - not the rule. Most of the people I see have other issues and their families are not aware of their whereabouts.
I really wish there was an answer!

Wow, that's an interesting way to look at it. Since I wrote this question I've had very little response so I did a bit of searching. One of my titles was published through Outskirts Press in Colorado - apparently they 'offer' the service of putting my title on Kindle for $99- everything from there on is all mine. Well, I can put the title on myself! and save $99. The answer is not so clear with my JVC with Strategic and they haven't responded to my question.

My stepmother was constantly threatening with the powder sugar donuts if we didn't do exactly what she said....talk about our own version of Flowers in the Attic (you do remember that was Grandma's special method of poisoning).

I think this is probably the last time my 55 pound dog is going anywhere....she loves the car, but she's had enough! Honestly, if I hadn't been forced to take her I wouldn't want to put a dog through this again either.
