Deut. 4:29 in the amplified But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life. Are we truly seeking God? Is He a necessity or is He an inconvenience? Are we TRULY seeking God? If we are truly seeking God then He will no longer be a God of convenience but a God of necessity. Are we believing for prayers and not having them answered. Are we believing for Divine protection or healing and feeling like God is leaving us to fend for ourselves. Maybe we’re not seeking Him. Maybe it’s because we’ve made God an inconvenience. Have we turned God into a God of Sunday? We know that gas is a necessity for our car if we need to get anywhere so stopping for gas is not a convenience but a necessity. How much more do we need God than our cars need fuel. If we truly believe He is our Provider don’t you think we should serve Him like it? I was reminded of Jim Hockaday’s book and how he said to pray with expectancy. Are we not praying with expectancy. Are we praying like the pregnant mother that is 1 month pregnant, not at all expecting to give birth. I believe if we will truly seek God with all our heart, soul, and Life we can pray with a level of expectancy of a mother that is nine months pregnant. I don’t believe it will stop there though. I believe we can live our entire lives expecting from God not just for answered prayer, but for every need and want to be met, for protection and a life more abundantly. Be encouraged and let’s SEEK Him who is our Provider, Comforter, and Healer and live an expectant abundant life.
