ahhh....the countrylife....if there's no rain, we'll be going to soccer with our youngest son, then to a fellow freecycler to get landscape rocks....and then (drumroll) to da dump, to da dump, to da dumpdumpdump. found out after paying 30.+ a month for garbage pickup that we can take our stuff to the dump....so far, we've saved over 150.00. AND the recycling is free. everyone, have a spectacular weekend! :)

a beautiful mosaic of fresh vegetables...i grew up on a farm in north carolina and i remember when my grandpa would harvest potatoes, he'd rub all the dirt off, take a big bite and just smile. i'd have to wash mine first and then take a bite....was delicious, except it still tasted like dirt :)

I have a bezillion things I want to plant :) Most likely we'll just plant several tomato plants, zucchini, yellow squash and maybe pumpkin. Our yard is pretty shady so it's difficult. We have a friend that is offering to bring his rototiller over when the times right and till up a section for us. Heirloom tomatoes are something I'd like to try this year also.

Freecycle is a great place to request items...you know that old saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure." I just offered a drop spreader on freecycle, and it was spoken for and picked in less than an hour! Join the local one and just request what you're looking for. I've gotten rocks for landscaping in the past, there's no limit to what you can find there. Good luck!!

What an inspiration all your pictures and work have been. I live in upstate New York and am still waiting for the snow to melt completely. On my agenda for this spring is to do pretty much what you've done with your front entrance. LOL, it just has to be done with something that will grow in the cooler/shadier area of our front porch. Thanks for sharing your accomplishments!
