The government as out Fathers envisaged it was spiritually inspired ... had it been left alone as it was intended to work we would not have the problems we have today ... IMnsHO.

Shira, the whole spiritual purpose of mankind (if one believes so as I do, to each their own) is to eventually recognize our overall unity, our interconnectedness ... when that takes place dualism is transcended ... it is a goal worth promoting IMnsHO.

On the contrary, I found the Self (mine anyway) to be more equivalent to THE ALL. I would suggest that that those who have found the nothing have found just that ... nothing. :-)

Lydia, because the word "truth" has been so covered in this thread,. I did a quick review down to here "" Jerry Kays Sep 30, 2008, 3:38pm EDT "" where it seems that we first began to consider the meaning of "facts" ... I am sure that much was probably said after that which means I should not have to repeat my view now. (but I am always willing to when requested).

It is my view that the wholeness and completeness of all that concerns us would be the concept of our universe (One-Verse) to which GOD would be the more "personalized" definition in regards to "our" relationships personally. Thus only GOD, as the ultimate and absolute, would be INvolved with the Totality, the ALL ... thus everything else is but "relative", to GOD and to each other ..."facts" are but only our world view of things we have agreed upon for the sake of like thinking communications, things agreed to be held in common ... sometimes taken to be relative truths even ... but one can never be absolutely sure of that, without the consideration of the GOD, we can not be all that sure of either ... though we may have had experience and even faith strong enough about that to guide us ...

Much of what has been discussed in this thread has been "debatable", even "argumentative" ... because many have a base "world view" as opposed to my own base "universal view" ... the view of a self (ego) as opposed to the Self (spirit) ...

Hi Lydia, yes, everything you say is true ... because truth is relative for us here on earth, and that is also a part of our GOD granted freedom and ability to create our own reality. As we believe, so it is, and the opposite is true also, very important, yet secondary.

It is my own belief that when wisdom is sought as highest truth from that aspect which one relates to as being divine, then is it is the duty, and hopefully the pleasure, of that GOD aspect to give you just that ... if it is true, it also amounts to the experience of love rather than fear ... yet a certain amount of caution is useful because subjectivity is very hard to understand sometimes.

I would caution more those who seek to follow outside authority, especially "institutions", on their path to highest truth, IE, GOD ... too often the dogma and creeds become polluted and far too "complicated", leaving much room for misunderstanding, things that can actually get in ones way to the satisfactions one should be seeking, truth and love are the most important goals in the end. IMnsHO

Shira, it is not that I devalue the objective, it is that I attempt to give due credit to the subjective, to have a balance of the two ... naturally one who has no use for subjectivity would not agree.

Utopia is a possibility (long range of course) for those who would believe so ... not for those who would deny it though.

Money is a problem in that dualistic human nature is based upon fear of there not being enough to go around and thus they covet it for themselves with greed ... and the hell with the poor loser as far as they are concerned.

I think our dominance is being very much eroded by the actions of our "controllers" all around the world ... in this day of the Internet, the "word" of truth gets around, and the folks in the world are being less fooled by our Hollywood movies than they used to be ...

I personally believe that there is far more of a similar "following" of those in power (as mentioned taking place in third world countries) going on right here at home than most could ever imagine let alone admit to ... we have all been brainwashed since birth by our so-called leaders and various "authorities" who we blindly react to thinking hopefully that they are not just lying to us all for their own personal profit and gain.

That applies to both secular and religious leaders for the most part ... we are all being "had" far more than we know.

Folks should read a couple books rather than accept their "party" lines. Start with Chalmers Johnson ... or read John Perkins ...

I support the troops as I would my own son were he one of them ... but I sure do not support the "governmental" policies that put those troops on the firing line when it is too often for corporate interests rather than the interest of the average citizen here at home.

The real truth to that; http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20091221/cm_huffpost/398813 is that the entire process is "owned" and controlled by the big money interests that actually run this world via their wealth ... Obama would have never been "groomed" and "presented" to us as he was if "they" had not wanted it so ...

I doubt that any such president, previously "selected" and then "offered" to the public to be voted on, ever really has any power over and above what "they" want to give him ...

The "master plan" may well have been for him to eventually fail his constituency to the degree that democrats never again have enough perceived power to really affect "their" desires ...

If you think that there are not such "conspiracies" afoot, that the European Union "just happened" and that the coming North American Union is not being planned right now, then you have "fallen for" the very "line" that "they" want you to and count on.

Whats more, should there evolve a "Third Party", you had better look to see just who sets it up (behind the scene) also ... it will most likely be "them" ...

Looks a lot like home here (now) in Montana ... [one of the reasons I loved it there when visiting the north island ages ago, having grown up in the pacific northwest, and that being my home then] ... only the folks there were far more hospitable I think ... I couldn't have asked for a better people experience than I received there then.

Yes, that "fertility rate" has "natural"(spiritual) components to it ... when the dangers of death are involved there is an increase in the birth rate to offset it for an overall survival of the species ... of course I don't expect the non-spiritual to believe any of that :-)

Frank, read a bit closer ... I said orthodox religion ... it is my contention that when one experiences the higher truths they become wise enough ... providing of course they value truth enough ... to seek beyond where they were when that truth is found ... thus they should transcend the exoteric of orthodoxy to something closer to the esoteric of the mystic ...

As religions tend to be, they call the esoteric heresy and evil occult in order to keep the folks (sheeple) dumbed down and still under their thumbs ...

I have no doubt that there are vast numbers of religious believers who have had a taste of the "mystical", probably enough to have helped them a great deal ... but when they perceive it as just a part of the orthodox exoteric which they were involved in at the time, and then attempt to change what was esoteric back into the exoteric to remain in compliance with their previous faith, they lose, pollute, and distort what could have been a positive into a negative ...

The Catholic church was great at "retaining" any such "discoverers" by convincing them to stay within the church doctrine by holding the title of "Sainthood" as their reward ... "heaven forbid" that any such should take up educating the sheeple away from church authority, which is what would happen when the true light is followed upon such an "Awakening" ...
