I keep seeing the commercials for it and have been looking forward to checking it out! It has potential, but what happens after the baby is born? Can the series last more than 10 months or will the main characters' friends have to all get pregnant!

I'll be watching to find out :)

Hi! My son did that also early on but, I broke him of it. I had a few different suggestions that I tried. One was to push his face kind of into the breast to break the connection but, I didn't like that one because I felt like I'd be suffocating him. Someone also suggested removing him from the breast and gently tapping his mouth saying "no biting" or "that hurts mommy." Both of these suggestions had the same results you are currently experiencing which is that he laughed and loved that I was giving him the extra attention.

Here's what worked for me. If he bit me, I removed him and set him down without a word. No attention for about a minute or two generally upset him. He soon figured out that when he bit me, he'd "lose" the connection to mommy.

So, good luck.. I am sure different tactics work for different babies! Hang in there and good for you for nursing!

Hi there! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I did not have the problem with my 1st born but, I did with my boy. First, make sure you aren't using the hospital provided diapers. They use Pampers swaddlers newborn for hospitals. They do NOT absorb, they are meant to do that so that the nurses can check the poop better.

If you are using the newborn size from the store, then what I did, which worked well before going up a size was the double-diapering technique. I'd put one diaper on snugly then put another on over it. When the 1st diaper was soiled, if it didn't leak through, I'd remove that one and then the outter wrapper would become the inner diaper and then I'd put a new one over it.. and so on. If you have a lot of newborn diapers then I'd try that first before moving to the bigger size. You might have leakage if the bigger size is too big.

Either way, it doesn't last long - she should be out of this phase soon! Good luck!

Yes, my theme is Superman if that helps with suggestions! I like the car idea too.. I know the dollar stores have cars in packs of like 12 for a buck a pack. I'll be hitting the dollar stores in the next couple days for some other things too so hmmmm

Someone personal also suggested the book idea and I really like that idea and am thinking of doing that now. Books can get pricey though but, I think they are worth it either way for everyone.

Well, since my kids are not quite 1 and not quite 3 Halloween is still about us grown-ups "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing about how cute they look in the costumes WE get to choose. I'm pretty confident that this will be the last time I'll get the final say on my daughter's costume.

So this year my kids are puppies. My 11 month old son's costume was thriftily purchased at wal-mart for under $10.00 and its adorable black and brown and one simple zip up the front outfit. My 2 year old daughter's costume is going to be a pink poodle. I had to find the pattern and the material because my oh-so-awesome mother-in-law is very talented at sewing and she is altering the costume to my specifications. For example.. I KNOW my daughter won't wear that built-in hood on her head but, she LOVES pig tails so we are just going to make ears to attach to them. I can't wait to see how cute they both look in their little costumes.

They get to wear them to many parties and carnivals because we are so lucky to live in a city abundant with such things.

One of my favorite times of years and its only the beginning!

Nope, never had ribs.. I'm not a big rib fan though so that is okay. I'm going out of town this weekend (just one night) and my mom is staying with the kids so maybe I'll try this Thursday night with the pork while she's here. I saw the Sweet and sour recipe.. I always thought it would be so much more difficult but, am glad to see how easy it is!!

I love playing with my daughter's hair. She is 2 1/2 and LOVES it when Mommy "does" her hair. She loves to sit and let me style it in all different fun ways and then she prances around for all to see. Thankfully, she is just as okay with going out ragamuffin style so I know she's okay with herself.

I was reading her the Dr. Seuss ABC book before nap today and she turned around and just kissed me on the cheek and said, "I love you Mommy" just like that... no reason at all.

She loves me! Can't get much better than that!

Wow.. that article made me a little sad. Granted, I have only been a mommy now for just under 3 years so maybe I haven't hit that point yet. I'll be going back to work once my kids are in school full time as well so I don't know what will happen at that point. I have mom friends that tell me they are bored all the time and I always ask myself "how can they be bored?" I am one of those women that had to work hard to finally be blessed with children in my mid-30's. I enjoy them so much and I am a Work part time stay at home mom.. I attend a great many children friendly activities with other moms and I relish the time talking about my kids. I wonder if I will ever run out of things to say about them and if I drive other people crazy talking about my kids all the time.

I'm trying really hard to think of what bores me and ultimately, I don't think I can use the word "bored" and answer the question. I get frustrated, flustered, exhausted and lazy but, I don't think I ever get bored. Maybe one day my daughter will shove that green crayon in my face as she so often does and beg me to draw "right here mommy!" and I will just have to say, "no." It hasn't happened yet.

My most enjoyable activity is easily swimming. The kids love it. I love it. Its excercise. It makes everyone happy! There's no cleanup involved (they are usually cleaner afterward than when they started) and best of all.. it tires them out and makes them go to sleep. While I love spending time with my kids, I do treasure my personal time as well as time with my husband to enjoy ourselves as adults. I'm blessed too that both of my children are very good at independant play and I think that mom's need to teach that skill at the get go so they can take some time for themselves. Without time for yourself .. you will get bored more than you will enjoy your kids. At least that's what I think.

Great ideas! I want to do the movie in my new backyard! Its too hot here for us to do anything outdoors during the day. We have a few local parks that have movie nights just like that during the summer months with free family friendly movies but, I'd like to play my own movies and then watch the birds eat the popcorn crumbs in the morning!

Hi! I don't know if anyone else had this problem on the website (which looks GREAT by the way) but, I went to create my profile using Typekey and when I was done and went to view my profile the profile program added "http://profile.typekey.com/twinklergirl/" in front of my personal links so if you click on them, they come up broken. Check it out.. I think some code might need to be removed/changed somewhere.

I havne't found anything else that doesn't work but, I'm really good at breaking things.. really, just ask my Mom! haha

Whenever I receive tan email like this, I go to http://www.snopes.com and check the validity. Snopes is by far my favorite source for checking out email hoaxes. Its also a very interesting site to surf around and see what kind of hoaxes are out there. People are so hungry for attention in this world that they create these emails or worse, computer viruses just so they can feel powerful when they run rampant.
