If this works for you then it works for you and it doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. I think I would be upset if a SO made this suggestion to me... but only because I think that my emotions would go into overdrive and cloud my judgment and convince me that I was ending up with someone like my dad. LoL, but the concept is a cool one, and we all know how expensive Christmas is! My cousin just informed me that her mom is getting our kids DS's for Christmas this year. She said 'they are getting a game with them, but I'm getting the twins an extra game each in Feb for their birthday, so if you could just get Clara an extra game for Christmas.' I thought this sounded cool, what is a game? like 10 dollars for a brand new one? Oh no! It's 20 dollars! I think my cousin is a little mad that I'm not pulling cash out to get my daughter an extra game... but I've finished my Christmas shopping already. I'm done! Lol

I'm mis representing my age here, but I really liked grease and dirt dancing when I was a teenager! I grew up really sheltered and when my aunt first took me in she shared these movies with me like it was an initiation or something! I've seen other 'teen' movies since I even watch teen movies of today now! But, Grease and Dirty Dancing are the favs of my own teenage years!

I almost went bald myself! My birth control was making my hair fall out and my doctor just said, "oops. I'll take it out for free, I forgot to mention that side affect." I chanced to go bald all the way because I'm not in a place right now to be making babies! And I'm only human as far as that abstinence plan goes! lol

Amy Brown is my favorite real artist. Other than that I'm a sucker for 'family art' there are several siblings of mine that are really good at art and I buy pieces off of them for home decor. I also have a lot of children's scribble art! lol

My most meaningful christmas gifts were from my daughters last christmas! my youngest made a christmas card at her daycare. And my oldest made me an ornament at school. She also bought me a glass rose from her school christmas store. Anything that comes from my children is the most meaningful gift in the world!

This holiday season is going to be crazy for sure, but I have two favorite things. I'm one of those weird people that LOVES black friday! I really enjoy those crazy good deals and waiting in line for hours just enhances the realization that I've got a great deal! I don't wake up at 4 in the morning to go though, that's just insane! My second favorite thing is the fact that our family is really low key about the holidays. Specially christmas. We eat snack foods and we play games. I love board games as do most of the people in the family. And it gives us time to be jerks (as we normally are) but it's taken in good fun because it's over a game!

This past year and a half has been one spiraling downward fall! It start the september before last when I was wrongly accused of child abuse. A few months later my fiance at the time married another woman without informing me that it was over between us first. I walked into the home we were supposed to be sharing at the time and found his in bed with his new wife! I found myself in jail a few hours later. Ouch! Then my brother moved in with me after an attempted suicide in March and 3 days later I found him on my kitchen floor, dead from a heroin overdose. I lost my mind after that happened. Especially since the state now was adding to their accusations against me. Trying to say that I practically killed my brother because I didn't know he was experiencing an overdose and didn't take him to the ER. Also the idea has been harped on that since it was a drug related death and he lived with me it stands to reason that I must be addicted to drugs too. My mom couldn't stand to see me so lost and depressed and it was her idea for me to go to school. She picked me up and took me to a local college and sat there and made me sign up. I'm thankful for that, but as life as continued to go downhill since then at least I have school! My car broke down and I had to use my pad rent money to purchase another one. It was so cruddy, because even that was not that much money as far as purchasing a car. And because I had to make that choice I was evicted from my home and lost all of my belongings. I literally grabbed my purse and laptop and walked out. Oh and my cat, but I had to give her to my granny. Two weeks later I was visiting my aunt and uncle when my sister's boyfriend broke into their house and stole my purse while I was sleeping! I had nothing really after that, thankfully my mom took me in and helped me get a few basics back together! And then a few weeks ago my sister let me know that our grandpa has been trying to have sex with her! And then when he realized that she wouldn't told her he would kill her if she told our grandma about it and it ended in divorce. She also showed me the text messages and I felt my world slipping apart again. I keep focusing on school because I know that is the only thing I have going for me in life right now. This month I will be signing over my children to guardianship because I don't have a home right now and my car is on it's last leg. And so I really need to get my life back together before I try to share it with my children.

It's not so much a 'remedy' but a lifestyle, and the best pregnancy advice I ever had! You know that 'eating for two' stuff? Throw it out the window! Those images of a pregnant lady in waiting? Throw that out close behind. Being pregnant is not being sick, it's nurturing a human being in your body! And you can do that if you don't take proper care of your body! I admit I broke down and consumed a pint of ice-cream or a bag of beef jerky many times when pregnant, but I felt horrible afterward. My best feeling pregnancy moments were the times that I forgot about being pregnant and just lived my best life. In fact, the day I went into labor with my youngest child I was out christmas shopping with my almost 2 year old at the time! I carried her, diaper bad and shopping bags out to the car, got home wrapped all those presents and sat my girls down to open them before the labor started... but I wouldn't change that for anything. And my friends that do fritter away their time on the couch eating bonbons and insisting their hubby's push them through walmart in a wheelchair? They have all had really bad late pregnancy and labor! So, one more thing though, if you doctor tells you to take it easy? For heavens sake! Take it easy!

This is not something children should know... but I think it is a good fact to know for adults. In fact a when a couple as a female child it means there was MORE testosterone in the man's body when the child was conceived than if the child is male! I love whipping out that little factoid when some of the male members in my family become fathers of strapping sons and want to about burst in pride and beat their pride into the 'less fortunate' fathers of dainty daughters. No one wants to believe me, but it's true. Hehe

lol!!!! I now reserve the right to go tell as many people as I possibly can that story. hehe. I'm still laughing so hard! Reminds me of the time when my ex and I were leaving my mom's house and we smelled the tell tale rancid smell of one of Spike's farts. Mom blushed profusely as we started to gag and hurried us out the door apologizing all the time. Of course a few minutes later I had the window down in the car and my head was out the window calling my mom to let her know she should rest east... it was not, in fact, the dog!
